Deaths still treated as murder-suicide
DA: Web post won't shift focus

The Chris Benoit killings will continue to be treated as two murders and a suicide, despite an online posting about the mother's death made before the bodies were found, Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard said.

"I am confident the conclusion of our investigation will be murder-suicide," Ballard said Friday. "That is based on the medical examiner's report and other evidence."

A user of Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia, admitted making edits to wrestling star Benoit's profile, mentioning the death of his wife, Nancy, more than 14 hours before authorities arrived at the crime scene. Last weekend, Benoit killed his wife and mentally impaired son, Daniel, 7, before committing suicide, officials said.

The anonymous Wikipedia user, in a lengthy post added to the Web site early Friday, wrote of being "deeply sorry" and called the situation a "terrible coincidence."

Ballard, district attorney for Fayette County, where the Benoits lived, said the posting is being investigated, but added it won't change the thrust of the case.

The Wikipedia user acknowledged being from Stamford, Conn., home of World Wrestling Entertainment, Benoit's employer. In the message, the individual claimed no connection to WWE.

"terrible coincidence."?
Make that coincidences.
One: His wife's death was posted 14 hours before the police found the bodies.
Two: The poster was in Stamford, Conn., where World Wrestling Entertainment headquarters is located.

Benoit death information was "coincidence," Wikipedia poster says

The person who wrote an entry on the Wikipedia Web site that pro wrestler Chris Benoit's wife was dead before authorities found her body said Friday he was just passing along a rumor that was "a terrible coincidence."

The writer, who declined to be identified, wrote a five-paragraph statement Friday to Wikipedia, apologizing.

The writer is from Stamford, Conn., home of World Wrestling Entertainment, Benoit's employer. The writer posted the rumor after Benoit didn't show up at a WWE match last weekend. WWE officials said Benoit told them he had a family emergency.

"It was just a rumor that I had heard about from other people online who were speculating what the family emergency Chris was attending to," the writer said. "I made a big mistake by posting this comment on his page."

He called the posting "a terrible coincidence."

And now Conflicting reports on Sherri Martel?

Okay, On June 15, 2007, WWE.com announced that "Sensational" Sherri Martel had died that morning at her mother's residence in Birmingham, Alabama. Dave Meltzer stated on his Wrestling Observer Live radio show that Martel's passing was not a result of natural causes, and that the case is still under investigation by law enforcement. On June 19, 2007, police confirmed that Martel did not die of natural causes, but no foul play is suspected. A cause of death for Martel will not be determined until her autopsy and toxicology reports have been completed. Based on what is known, Martel had gone to bed at her mother's home (where she was living recently) because she wasn't feeling well. Her husband found her unresponsive later that afternoon.

But now, it was reported on June 28, 2007 that Sherri's sister Vickie claimed Sherri died while drinking coffee with her mother on the front porch. Vickie suspected Sherri was taking some sort of medication/drug for her heart and when asked if it was steroids Sherri did not comment. The toxicology and autopsy results however, may not be released for a further five or six months according to reports.

Sherri was buried on Thursday,June 28, 2007.

All right what is really going on? Was she on the porch or in bed? What did the police report say? Five or six months for a toxicology report?

It's beginning to sound like a CSI or Law and Order plot.

Benoit mystery's Wikipedia time slip.....

This just keeps getting weirder and weirder.
I first heard about this tonight on "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren"
Then on Bill O'Reilly's show Geraldo Rivera reported on it, and towards the end he let slip " triple or quadruple homicide" not murder/suicide.
Was that a slip? Or is there way more we don't know yet?
Both shows also related more on Sherri Martel's death. ( I think Geraldo got the dates wrong on that) And Geraldo made the first mention I have heard of Kevin Sullivan.

News on the weird 14 hour time slip......

Nancy Daus (May 21, 1964 - June 25, 2007), part 3

After being dumped by Sandman and Scorpio in ECW, she once again resurfaced in WCW, first appearing on the January 29, 1996 edition of WCW Monday Nitro as one of many women who stood in the aisle and waved as Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage came to the ring. She stayed at ringside, but she soon turned on Savage and rejoined Flair, Arn Anderson, and Chris Benoit in the then-current incarnation of the Four Horsemen. Miss Elizabeth also managed the stable.

In 1996, the Horsemen added Steve McMichael and his wife Debra, which didn't sit well with Woman. In her next angle, the two bickered, not getting along in general. The Four Horsemen were often given interview time on Nitro and when it came time for Debra to speak on the mic, she'd often go into a soliloquy regarding Woman's looks and fashion sense--usually when the two weren't within the vicinity of each other. Despite the heavy tension, the two managers never had a physical altercation.

At the same time, she started an on-screen relationship with Benoit, rubbing it in Sullivan's face, her real-life husband at the time. On December 7, on WCW Saturday Night, while announcer Tony Schiavone was conducting a post-match interview with Sullivan, he played a home movie of the couple in front of him. They were shown canoodling in a kitchen. Woman taunted Sullivan by saying, "You can't find me" and "I'm my own woman." Benoit taunted Sullivan as well by saying, "You consider yourself the master of human chess. Well, my bishop just took your queen." After the video, Sullivan stood there speechless, and his manager Jimmy Hart led him off stage. As fate would have it, this on-screen relationship developed into a real-life affair off-screen This resulted in a feud between Benoit and Sullivan that saw Woman clashing with Sullivan's then-valet Jacquelyn at ringside. In one match, the two ladies were strapped together, took shots at each other, and used the strap connecting them as a weapon against the men.

Nancy's final WCW appearance (and professional wrestling appearance as the character 'Woman') took place on May 26, 1997 on WCW Monday Nitro as she accompanied Benoit to the ring for a confrontation with Jimmy Hart regarding the whereabouts of Sullivan, who wasn't in the arena. On the following week's show, Benoit came alone to ringside without her by his side. After managing him for a little over half a year, no reason was given for Woman's sudden disappearance, and she was never mentioned on WCW programming again.

Sullivan and Nancy (off-screen) divorced in 1997, and (on-screen) Sullivan lost a retirement match to Benoit It is often joked that 'Kevin Sullivan booked his own divorce'. Sullivan's intent was to retire from in-ring action and focus on booking. As a booker, Sullivan caused Nancy to (off-screen) quit wrestling when she refused to be topless in an angle Sullivan created for a PPV.

Before her marriage to Kevin Sullivan in 1985, Nancy had previously been married to and divorced from Jim Daus.

Nancy and Benoit became engaged in 1997 after her divorce from Sullivan that same year, although Benoit only referred to Nancy as his fiancée even after they were married. Although her days as an on-air performer were over, she did actively manage her husband's career from their home in Atlanta.

She gave birth to her son Daniel Christopher Benoit on February 23, 2000. Two days later, Daus married Chris Benoit on February 25, 2000. However, in 2003, she filed for divorce, citing the marriage as "irrevocably broken" and alleging "cruel treatment."She later dropped the suit, as well as a restraining order filed on her husband

On June 25, 2007, Nancy and her son Daniel were found dead by police in the family's Fayetteville, Georgia home, victims of an apparent double murder-suicide perpetrated by her husband, Chris Benoit.

Nancy Daus (May 21, 1964 - June 25, 2007), part 2

George Napolitano needed a beautiful young girl for the cover of the June 1984 edition of the pro-wrestling magazine Wrestling All Stars and fellow photographer Bill Otten suggested the young Nancy Daus for the role. Nancy, who had worked as a model, often sat alongside her then-husband Jim to watch matches and was no newcomer to being involved with professional wrestling. Nancy, who had been selling programs at the Orlando shows, also appeared as "Para" in the old "Apartment Wrestling" in wrestling magazines features. It was on this shoot where she met Kevin Sullivan who became enamored with her. Sullivan eventually wanted her to be a part of his wrestling entourage, and after months of convincing, Nancy finally became an on-air valet, taking the name Fallen Angel. She made her in-ring debut on July 7, 1984 at the Lakeland Civic Center in Lakeland, Florida for Florida Championship Wrestling.

Nancy then became a part of Kevin Sullivan's stable of "Satanists", which also included wrestlers Luna Vachon, The Purple Haze, and Sir Oliver Humperdink. Nancy and Kevin Sullivan traveled throughout the United States using the "Satanist" gimmick for promotions such as Angelo Savoldi's ICW and Southwest Championship Wrestling. The two married in 1985.

In 1989, Nancy appeared in the NWA as Robin Green, Rick Steiner's biggest fan who sat at ringside cheering him on during matches. Eventually she talked Rick into letting her actually stand at ringside with Missy Hyatt during a tag-team match with brother Scott against the Fabulous Freebirds, Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin. Nancy caused the Steiners to lose the match and soon left Rick to manage the masked team of Doom (Ron Simmons and Butch Reed). During this time she also changed her name to Woman. The Steiner Brothers and Doom went on to feud, with the Steiners still seeking revenge on Woman. In response, she acquired a bodyguard known as Nitron ( Tyler Mane) to protect her from them.

In 1990, Ric Flair and his Four Horsemen soon caught her wandering eye and she dumped Nitron and Doom to manage Flair. She fit in well with the "dirtiest player in the game", interfering in his matches and helping him keep his NWA World Title. She left the NWA by after the Capitol Combat '90 pay-per-view however.

She rejoined her husband Kevin in smaller promotions, mainly running out of the Northeast.

In 1993, Kevin and Nancy surfaced in the fledgling ECW, where - once again called simply Woman - she managed Sullivan and The Tazmaniac to the ECW Tag Team Championships. When Kevin resought the greener pastures of WCW, Nancy remained in ECW, going on to manage Sandman and 2 Cold Scorpio. She captivated the crowd as, once again, she almost seamlessly reinvented herself to fit with The Sandman's gimmick - opening his beers, lighting his cigarettes, and destroying his opponents with her own kendo stick.

All of my U.S. women's wrestling blogs are going to be this one updated entry I made back in February.
I guess it's a way of expressing sadness at a life cut short.
I can't even begin to express the shock I felt hearing the news. It reminds me of the when Eddie Guerrero passed away.

I hope it doesn't come in threes.

Jazz - Carlene Begnaud, Part 2

wwe, wwe divas, female wrestling, women wrestling, wrestling women, women of wrestling
Jazz returned in early 2003 and involved herself in the feud between Stratus and Victoria. During this time, she took on the managerial services of Teddy Long which led to another WWE Women's Championship reign after defeating Stratus at Backlash 2003. She kept the title for several months but once more was forced to drop the title due to injury, losing it in a battle royal to Gail Kim on June 20, 2003.

She returned from injury in early 2004 but for the most part, she mostly wrestled on Sunday Night HEAT and did not take part in any major feuds. Later that year, she became manager and valet for her real-life husband Rodney Mack before being released by the WWE on November 4, 2004.

From January 16, 2005 she started working on the independent circuit, and even appeared at the unofficial ECW reunion show, Hardcore Homecoming. In late 2005, Jazz and Rodney Mack opened Dirtysouth Championship Wrestling, an independent promotion based in Louisiana were Jazz won the new DCW Louisiana State Title on June 3, 2006.

Jazz also went on to perform in Women's Extreme Wrestling, where she won the company's World Heavyweight Championship in May 2005 in a Fatal Four M'enage Quatro Match against Angel Orsini, Mercedes Martinez, and Simply Luscious when the previous champion, Tai "Killer Weed", was forced to relinquish the title due to an injury. While still WEW champion, on June 24, 2005, Jazz would defeat April Hunter to win NWA Cyberspace's Women's championship.

On May 4, 2006, it was confirmed on WWE's official website that Jazz would be a part of the new ECW brand. Jazz would make her first appearance as part of the new ECW during the WWE vs. ECW Head to Head show on June 7, 2006 where she would face the WWE Women's Champion Mickie James in a losing effort, However, Jazz would not continue an on-screen role in the brand and only made a few appearances at ECW house shows before returning to Dirtysouth Championship Wrestling in September. Though in ECW, she stayed under contract with WWE until January 18, 2007 when she, along with her husband and several other wrestlers were released by WWE.

Jazz - Carlene Begnaud, Part 1

Wrestler: Jazz
Real Name: Carlene Moore Begnaud
Birthday: August 27, 1976
Hometown: New Orleans, LA
Marital Status: Married to Rodney Begnaud
Height & Weight: 5'4" - 140 lbs.
Trained by: Rod Price
Wrestling Debut: 1998
Previous Gimmicks: Jasamine
Finishing Move: The Bitchlock ,STF
Favorite Moves: Jazz Stinger,Jazz Stretch,DDT,Bitch Clamp,Fisherman Buster,Running Splash,Sitout Over Shoulder Powerslam
Notable Feuds: Jason,Francine,Trish Stratus,Victoria

Carlene Moore Begnaud is better known as Jazz. She is an American professional wrestler and former WWE Diva who has previously worked for the original ECW and WWE's RAW and ECW brands

She was approached about training to become a wrestler and went to a wrestling school in Louisiana run by Rod Price and had her first wrestling match against Jacqueline. Moore was just six-months into her training with Rod Price when she got a job with Extreme Championship Wrestling.

Considered one of the first female wrestlers to thrive in a male-dominated company lacking an active Women's Division (along the lines of Chyna in the WWF and Madusa in WCW), Jazzmyn (as she was then known) was a part of a tight-knit group, consisting of then up-and-coming superstars such as Jason and Justin Credible. She would later become pushed around because of her gender, leading to a feud with Jason. In most occassions in facing Jason, she won emphatically, and would continue to be a regular face in ECW. She would appear on a random basis before leaving the company for good in early 2000, just under a year before ECW was shut down due to bankruptcy.

Having worked a number of house shows as try-outs during 2001, in September of that year Moore, now wrestling as Jazz, signed a two-year contract with the World Wrestling Federation. She made her formal debut in the company at the Survivor Series pay per view in a Six-Pack Challenge Match for the WWF Women's Championship which had been vacated by Chyna after her departure from the company. Ultimately, Trish Stratus came away with the victory and the championship that night but, several weeks later Jazz brutally attacked Stratus and Mighty Molly during a title defense. This led to a vicious feud between Stratus and Jazz which led to Jazz defeating Stratus on the February 4, 2002 edition of RAW to win her first Women's Championship.

The feud went on for several months with Jazz making successful title defenses against Stratus, Lita and Ivory. However due to injury, Jazz dropped the title back to Stratus in a Hardcore-Rules match on the May 13, 2002 edition of RAW, which also involved Bubba Ray Dudley and Steven Richards.

Jackie Moore - Part 4

wwe, wwe divas, female wrestling, women wrestling, wrestling women
In late-2001, Jacqueline remained loyal to the WWF throughout The Invasion, feuding with Alliance members Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson, Ivory and Mighty Molly. She took part in the six pack challenge for the vacant WWF Women's Championship on November 18 at Survivor Series 2001, which was won by Trish Stratus. Several weeks later, Jacqueline challenged Trish for the title at Vengeance 2001. Jacqueline dominated the match but was surprised by a backslide pin, costing herself victory and another championship reign. Jacqueline and Trish shook hands before and after the match in a show of good sportsmanship.

In 2002, Jacqueline became a referee, with her debut match being a Women's Championship bout between Jazz and Trish Stratus at the 2002 Royal Rumble. At WrestleMania X8 she refereed a match pitting Mr. Perfect, Lance Storm and Test against Scotty 2 Hotty, Albert and Rikishi on the Sunday Night HEAT pre-show. Jacqueline wrestled infrequently throughout 2002, receiving several title shots, none of which were successful. In late 2002, she and Trish Stratus began a feud with Victoria and Jazz, which culminated in a four way match for the title at Judgment Day 2003 on May 18, which Jazz won. She took part in a battle royal for the title on June 30, which was won by the debuting Gail Kim.

Jacqueline seldom appeared throughout late 2003 and early 2004, instead spending some of her time working as a trainer in Ohio Valley Wrestling. On the May 6, 2004 episode of SmackDown!, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero, Jr. issued an open challenge for anyone to face him for his title, and Jacqueline answered. Jacqueline defeated Chavo in an upset victory. Jacqueline was defeated by Chavo's father, Chavo Classic, in a non-title match on the May 13 episode of SmackDown!, and on May 16 at Judgment Day 2004. She lost the Cruiserweight Championship back to Chavo Guerrero, Jr. in a match where Chavo's arm was tied behind his back.

In June 2004, Jacqueline was released from World Wrestling Entertainment.

Jacqueline debuted in TNA Wrestling on the November 7, 2004 Victory Road 2004 pay-per-view, losing to Trinity. She made a second appearance with TNA on December 5 at Turning Point 2004, where she refereed a tag team match between Pat Kenney and Johnny B. Badd and Johnny Swinger and Glenn Gilberti.

In 2006, Jacqueline appeared at several TNA-branded house shows produced by the United Wrestling Federation. She returned to TNA proper at Final Resolution 2007 on January 14, 2007 as Miss Tennessee eventually reverting to "The Pride of Tennessee" Jackie Moore (Sometimes Ms. Jackie Moore as well), joining forces with James Storm by attacking his erstwhile manager, Gail Kim. Storm and Moore teamed up to defeat Kim and Petey Williams at both Against All Odds and Destination X, with the latter being a "Rub and Tug" match. Moore was defeated by Kim at Lockdown 2007 in TNA's first women's cage match.

Recently, during a Street Fight with Gail Kim on iMPACT!, Moore had her two front teeth knocked out of her mouth.

Jackie Moore - Part 3

womens pro wrestling, wrestling women wwe
P.M.S. gained a "Love slave" named Meat in May 1999. In the same month, the stable expanded once more to incorporate Ryan Shamrock, who had been spurned by the womanizing Val Venis. Shamrock left both the stable and the WWF in the following months, while Terri and Jacqueline assisted Meat in his matches. Tension began to grow between the two women as Terri (kayfabe) exhausted Meat with hours of sex before his matches and then berated her fatigued lover when he lacked the energy to win matches. Jacqueline left the stable after Terri forced Meat to kiss her feet on the August 1 episode of Sunday Night HEAT.

On the September 6 episode of RAW, Jacqueline faced the misogynistic Jeff Jarrett in advance of his Intercontinental Championship match with Chyna. Jarrett squashed Jacqueline, choked her with the ring ropes, forced her to submit with the figure four leglock, and broke a guitar over her head.

Jacqueline soon returned to her pursuit of the Women's Wrestling Championship, which she failed to win from Ivory in a three way hardcore match which also included Luna on November 18. On November 25, Jacqueline defeated Ivory in a "gravy bowl match" to win the Golden Ladle Trophy. At Armageddon 1999 on December 12, she took part in a four way evening gown match for the Women's Wrestling Championship but was stripped following a combined assault from her opponents, Ivory, Miss Kitty and B.B..

Jacqueline won the WWF Women's Wrestling Championship for a second time on February 1 by defeating Harvey Wippleman (who had won the belt from Miss Kitty while in drag and calling himself "Hervina") in a very short match. Her reign lasted throughout February and March, with Jacqueline defeating Ivory and Lita to retain the title. On March 28, she was challenged by Stephanie McMahon, and the inexperienced Stephanie defeated Jacqueline following extensive interference from D-Generation X.

Jacqueline's requests for a rematch were denied, and she lost a battle royal for the number one contendership to Lita. On the July 2 episode of Sunday Night HEAT, WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Dean Malenko challenged "anyone with enough manhood" to face him. After Jacqueline came to the ring, Malenko explained that he had said "manhood, not somebody from the hood." Jacqueline was granted a title shot, but submitted to Malenko's Texas cloverleaf.

Throughout August and September, Jacqueline feuded with WWF Women's Wrestling Champion Lita, aligning herself with Edge and Christian to counter the presence of Lita's constant companions, The Hardy Boyz. She received further title shots on October 9 and November 2, but failed to unseat Lita on both occasions.

The Acolyte Protection Agency (Faarooq and Bradshaw) recruited Jacqueline on the December 18 episode of RAW, asking her to take care of Trish Stratus while they fought Stratus' clients, T & A. In the resulting six person tag match, Jacqueline pinned Stratus. On the December 21 episode of SmackDown!, Jacqueline challenged Right to Censor member Ivory to a title match. After the other members of R.T.C. distracted Jacqueline and enabled Ivory to pin her, the A.P.A. repaid the favor by saving Jacqueline from a group beating after the match.

The feud between the A.P.A. and R.T.C. continued throughout early-2001 and culminated in a match at WrestleMania X-Seven on April 1, which pitted R.T.C. (Bull Buchanan, The Goodfather and Val Venis) against The A.P.A. and Tazz. In the early stages of the match, Jacqueline DDT'ed Stevie Richards, the leader of R.T.C. who had accompanied them to ringside. R.T.C. lost the match after Bradshaw pinned The Goodfather.

In mid-2001, Jacqueline, along with Tazz, Al Snow and Tori, became a trainers on the MTV reality TV series Tough Enough.

Jackie Moore - Part 2

women of wrestling, women s wrestling, wwe women fight
Jackie joined the WWF in the middle of 1998 as Jacqueline. She debuted as the on screen girlfriend of the heel Marc Mero and began a feud with Sable, the estranged wife of Mero. After Jacqueline and Sable traded insults on several occasions, Jacqueline challenged Sable to a bathing suit contest. The contest took place on July 26 at Fully Loaded, with Sable winning after she removed her halter top to reveal a painted on bikini top. However, the following evening on RAW, WWF Chairman Vince McMahon disqualified Sable as "body paint does not constitute a bikini", and Jacqueline was declared the winner and given the trophy.

Sable recruited Luna Vachon and the other Oddities to fight Jacqueline for her, and they helped Luna pin Jacqueline on the August 10 episode of RAW. After the match, Sable gave the unconscious Jacqueline's trophy to Luna. Jacqueline demanded that the trophy be returned, and faced Sable in an arm wrestling contest on the August 17 episode of RAW. During the contest, Jacqueline broke her grip and pushed the table into Sable's solar plexus, winding her and enabling Jacqueline to retrieve her trophy. Jacqueline then smashed the trophy over Sable's back.

Jacqueline and Mero teamed together to face Sable and a mystery opponent on August 30 at SummerSlam 1998. Sable's partner was revealed to be Edge, but he was sidelined for much of the match as Jacqueline dominated Sable, preventing her from tagging out. After Sable finally managed to tag Edge, he delivered the Downward Spiral to Mero and then placed Sable atop him, thus winning the match for himself and Sable and humiliating Mero by causing him to lose to his wife.

After Sable defeated Jacqueline in an evening gown match on the September 14 episode of RAW, Jacqueline demanded a singles bout with Sable. The match aired on the September 21 episode of RAW. With the revived WWF Women's Wrestling Championship on the line (the Women's Championship had been abandoned in January 1996), Jacqueline defeated Sable after Mero tripped Sable and held her foot down, preventing her from kicking out of Jacqueline's pin.

Jacqueline and Sable continued to feud, and Jacqueline cut off Sable's ponytail on the October 5 episode of RAW. While Jacqueline enjoyed a strong run as champion, squashing challengers such as Molly Holly, Mero began to lose more and more frequently. On October 26, Sable challenged Jacqueline to a title match at Survivor Series 1998. With Shane McMahon acting as referee, Sable defeated Jacqueline to become the new WWF Women's Champion.

Jacqueline and Mero separated on the November 22 episode of Sunday Night HEAT, and the jilted Jacqueline formed a new stable of women known as the Pretty Mean Sisters (a pun on "P.M.S.") with Terri Runnels, who was separated from her husband, Goldust. During a match between Mero and Goldust on the November 23 episode of WWE RAW, Jacqueline and Terri entered the ring and low-blowed both men.

In January 1999, Terri claimed to have suffered a miscarriage after she was knocked of the ring apron by D'Lo Brown. The guilty Brown became a servant to P.M.S., who forced him to wrestle his friend, Mark Henry. The deception lasted until February 1, when the ringside doctor told Brown that Terri had not been pregnant. P.M.S. then feuded with Brown by costing him matches and attacking his new manager, Ivory. Jacqueline returned to the women's division in March 1999, and on the April 12 episode of RAW, she, Ivory, Tori, and Sable took part in a four way match for the Women's Wrestling Championship. The match was declared a no-contest after Sable's bodyguard Nicole Bass stormed the ring and chokeslammed the three challengers.

WWE Diva Ivory - Part 3

In early 2002, Moretti served as a trainer in the second series of Tough Enough. After the World Wrestling Federation was renamed "World Wrestling Entertainment" and the roster was split into two "brands", RAW and SmackDown!, Moretti was drafted to the SmackDown! brand. She briefly feuded with Tough Enough winner Linda Miles before leaving WWE television to travel the world promoting WWE house shows. Along with several other SmackDown! wrestlers, Moretti was traded to RAW in exchange for The Big Show in November 2002. Throughout the remainder of 2002, she teamed with Victoria and feuded with Trish Stratus.

Throughout 2003, Moretti wrestled sporadically in the women's division, challenging for the Women's Championship on several occasions. Her only pay-per-view appearance in the course of the year was on December 14 at Armageddon 2003, where she unsuccessfully challenged Molly Holly for the Women's Championship. She also served as a trainer in the third series of Tough Enough. Ivory's last match in WWE was during an episode of Heat in late December 2003, where she fought Victoria in a #1 Contenders Match. However, Victoria won the match with the Widow's Peak.

In early 2004, Moretti spent nine weeks working as a trainer at the WWE developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling. In May 2004, she and Todd Grisham began hosting WWE Experience, a weekly television show that recapped events from RAW and SmackDown!. In January 2005, Moretti's contract was restructured to reflect her role as an announcer, and the new contract entitled her to wrestle on the independent circuit. WWE Experience was cancelled in August 2005. On July 22, 2005, several weeks before WWE Experience ended, WWE announced that Moretti's contract would not be renewed.

After leaving WWE, Moretti began working in the landscaping industry. Following Hurricane Katrina, she became involved in charity work aimed at assisting the victims of hurricanes. Moretti also wrestled sporadically on the independent circuit (under her own name, as WWE had trademarked "Ivory"). On November 19, 2005 in Spartanburg, South Carolina at "A Tribute to StarrCade", she teamed with Bambi to defeat Team Blondage (Krissy Vaine and Amber O'Neal) for the CCW Tag Team Championship. On April 21, 2006 in Surrey, British Columbia, Moretti defeated Rebecca Knox for the SuperGirls Championship. She lost the title to Nattie Neidhart on October 8, 2006, in Newark, California.

Ivory, part 2

Moretti began challenging for the Women's Championship by April. After severing her connections with D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry, she won the title on June 14, by defeating Debra with the assistance of Nicole Bass. Moretti defended her title against plants and jobbers for several weeks, then went on to retain her title in a bout with Tori at SummerSlam 1999 on August 22. Moretti continued to feud with Tori in the weeks following SummerSlam, defeating her in the first ever WWF women's Hardcore Match on September 6. Next, Moretti was challenged by Luna Vachon, who Moretti defeated in a Hardcore Match at Unforgiven 1999 on September 26.

In October 1999, Moretti feuded with the The Fabulous Moolah, who defeated her for the Women's Championship on October 17, 1999 at No Mercy 1999. She defeated Moolah in a rematch on the October 25 episode of RAW, winning her second Women's Championship. Her second title reign ended with a loss to Miss Kitty in a Four Way Swimming Pool Evening Gown Match on December 12 at Armageddon 1999.

In late 1999, Moretti began playing a more conservative character, labeling audience members who enjoyed risque matches "perverts". On January 23, at the 2000 Royal Rumble, she grudgingly took part in the "Miss Royal Rumble" swimsuit contest, which was won by Mae Young. She challenged Jacqueline for the Women's Championship throughout early 2000, but was unsuccessful on each occasion. On the March 23 episode of SmackDown!, Moretti attempted to win the Hardcore Championship by breaking a jar on champion Crash Holly's head while giving him a massage and then attempting to pin him.

After an absence, Moretti returned to WWF television on October 23, 2000 as a member of the conservative Right to Censor faction. The change in gimmick saw her don less suggestive ring attire and adopt a severe bun. Moretti quickly began a feud with Women's Champion Lita, and on the October 31 episode of SmackDown!, she won the Women's Championship by defeating Lita, Jacqueline and Trish Stratus in a Fatal Four Way Match. She retained the title against both Lita at the 2000 Survivor Series on November 19 with the assistance of R.T.C. leader Steven Richards and in a Triple Threat Match against Trish Stratus and Molly Holly at Armageddon 2000 on December 10.

After Chyna posed for Playboy Magazine in late 2000, she incurred the wrath of Right To Censor, and on the December 11 episode of RAW, Moretti and Val Venis delivered a double-team piledriver to Chyna, (kayfabe) injuring her neck.

Chyna challenged Moretti for the Women's Championship at the 2001 Royal Rumble on January 21, 2001. Moretti retained her title when she pinned Chyna after Chyna appeared to reaggrevate her neck injury. Chyna challenged Moretti for the title once more at WrestleMania X-Seven on April 1 and squashed Moretti in a brief match, thus ending Moretti's third reign as Women's Champion. Right To Censor disbanded shortly thereafter, with each of the member disappearing from WWF television.

Moretti returned to WWF television on the August 6, 2001 episode of RAW, joining The Alliance. She went on to manage The Hurricane, assisting him in his feud with Matt Hardy. In September 2001, she also managed Lance Storm. At No Mercy 2001 on October 21, Storm and The Hurricane were defeated by the Hardy Boyz. Moretti went on to compete in the women's division, and on November 18 at the 2001 Survivor Series, she participated in a six pack challenge for the vacant Women's Championship, which Trish Stratus won.

Ivory-WWE-WWE Diva

Lisa Mary Moretti (born November 26, 1961 in Torrance, California) is an American professional wrestler. She is perhaps best known for her appearances with the World Wrestling Federation and World Wrestling Entertainment between 1999 and 2005 under the ring name Ivory.

In 1986, Moretti attended an audition held by the newly formed Las Vegas, Nevada-based Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling professional wrestling promotion. She was successful in her audition, and went on to train under Mando Guerrero. and debuted in GLOW in 1986 as Tina Ferrari. Moretti teamed with Ashley Cartier as "T and A", with the duo winning the GLOW Tag Team Championship, and defeated Colonel Ninotchka to win the vacant GLOW Championship, represented by a crown. She held the crown for 17 episodes of GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling before losing to Ninotchka. Like many of the GLOW wrestlers, she wore a thong type outift which led to oftern provocative poses in the ring.

After the founder of GLOW, David McLane, left the promotion in the late 1980s, Moretti left GLOW and joined McLane's newly formed Powerful Women of Wrestling promotion. Moretti wrestled in PWOW under the ring names Nina and Tina Moretti, winning the POWW Championship on two occasions. She remained with the promotion until it went bankrupt, at which point she largely left the wrestling industry.

In 1999, Moretti returned to wrestling, signing a contract with the World Wrestling Federation. Her first appearance in WWF was as one of The Godfather's anonymous "Hos".

On the February 13, 1999 episode of RAW, Moretti was introduced as Ivory, the love interest of Mark Henry, who had repeatedly been spurned by Chyna. Moretti managed the tag team of Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown, assisting them in their feud with Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart. Her interference in matches led to several confrontations between Moretti and Debra, Jarrett's Manager. Moretti made her televised WWF in-ring debut on the February 15 episode of RAW, teaming with Brown to face Jarrett and Debra in an intergender tag team match that ended in a no-contest. Moretti faced Debra in a single match on the March 1 episode of RAW, defeating Debra by disqualification after she was attacked by the Pretty Mean Sisters (P.M.S.). She went on to feud with P.M.S. throughout March. At WrestleMania XV on March 28, Moretti accompanied D-Lo Brown and Test to the ring for their World Tag Team Championship title match against Jarrett and Hart. Jarrett and Hart retained their titles following interference from P.M.S. and Debra.
