Serena Deeb has had a pretty long and colorful career as a female wrestler.
I did a write up on her back in March of 2008, when everyone knew her as Serena Deeb, but now you may be more familiar with her as Mia Mancini, Serena Mancini or just Serena, a member of CM Punk’s “Straight Edge Society” group along with Luke Gallows.
And as you probably know, she shaved her head on her WWE TV debut on January 22, 2010, as part of Punk’s crusade to get people into the straight edge lifestyle.
But before Serena went all "Molly Holly" on us, she was a respected Indy wrestler.
One of the wrestling rumors is that the reason Serena was moved up to the main roster was that she was willing to shave her head.
That showed Brand loyalty.
Before moving up to the WWE main roster, she wrestled at Florida Championship Wrestling, where she was the Queen of FCW, before finally loosing the crown (literally) to AJ Lee.
She was the Memphis Championship Wrestling, MCW Women's Champion once, the NWA France Women's Champion and the Ohio Valley Wrestling Women's Champion six times.
Serena also worked for Shimmer Women Athletes, Ring of Honor, did an appearance on TNA Wrestling (as part of Awesome Kong's $25,000 Fan Challenge), did some work for Pro Wrestling Syndicate, when to France to wrestle for the International Catch Wrestling Alliance and worked for American Wrestling Rampage.
Actually what got me thinking about Serena was me running across this match posted by HybridDolphinELPS on YouTube of "Mia" Mancini taking on WWE Diva Gail Kim.
Usually Hybrid gets mentioned on my Joshi blog, but this was too good to pass up.
And no, I am not switching my focus off the Indy female wrestlers, it's just that Serena is one of the ladies that has worked her way up through the ranks.
I just hope she isnt wasted with the WWE like a lot of other good female talent is.

Female Wrestling - Krissy Vaine
It's been a long time (since 2007 actually) that I have done anything on female pro wrestler Krissy Vaine.
And that's a shame too, since Krissy (Kristin Eubanks) was born only a few miles from where I grew up in NC!
Krissy made her pro wrestling debut back in 2003 as Special K.
But before that, she had been a manager since 2000.
She has worked for wrestling promotions like CWF Mid Atlantic, Professional Girl Wrestling Association, Women Extreme Wrestling, Memphis Wrestling, the National Wrestling Alliance and Shimmer Women Athletes.
In 2006 she signed a developmental contract with the WWE and went to Deep South Wrestling.
She had a pretty good run there, becoming the "General Manager for DSW".
While she was there, she had a feud with Angel Williams (who you may know better as TNA Knockout Angelina Love) and was in DSW at the same time as Nattie Neidhart (Natalya), Brooke Adams, Tracy Taylor and Shantelle Taylor (Taylor Wilde).
Krissy only appeared on SmackDown! once, attacking Torrie Wilson after her match with Victoria.
Sadly, she and her boyfriend Ryan O'Reilly left the WWE the next month.
Krissy is still wrestling on the Indy circuit and is also a writer for Diva Dirt.
She has her own podcast there called The Krissy Vaine Project.
If you want to keep up with Krissy you can catch her at Diva Dirt:
http://www.diva-dirt.com/
Or her Twitter account:
http://twitter.com/krissyvaine13
After all this time, I still think she is one of the prettiest women in Pro wrestling!

Wrestlicious - Wrestling News and Rumors

Here is the latest video for the upcoming Wrestlicious female wrestling show.
(By the way Wrestlicious people, many thanks for allowing embedding so that we can help spread the word.)
Even though they dont as of yet have a distributor, they have built up a presense on the web.
They have a MySpace page:
http://www.myspace.com/wrestliciousbaby
(I'm in their top forty friends! Go me!)
A Facebook page:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wrestlicious/144824402691
And a Twitter account:
http://twitter.com/Wrestlicious1
And of course their own YouTube channel:
http://www.youtube.com/user/WrestliciousBaby
(Yes JV Rich I am giving you all kinds of free PR here...LOL)
Without a network deal (Fox was mentioned in the beginning stages of the promotion, but it looks like that is gone now) it looks like Wrestlicious' best bet is syndication.
Why not?
That's what made GLOW a cult hit.
And you have to look at this as a reboot in a way.
I almost wish they could have gotten the rights to the original GLOW characters and actually made the show a reboot of GLOW.
But hey, you dont get famous by just reusing the other guys ideas do you?
(Okay...I know, don't tell the motion picture industry that)
The upside of Wrestlicious is that from what I have seen of their roster, most (if not all) of their wrestlers can really...ummm...wrestle.
(Side note here, could Wrestlicious please put out an actual roster list so I don't have to keep guessing?)
That puts them ahead of one of the "other" major wrestling promotions.
And it gives lots of Indy female wrestlers a chance to shine.
So I'll be watching the show when it comes out for that reason if nothing else.

Kellie Skater - Female Wrestling
This young lady from Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, Australia is Indy wrestler Kellie Skater.
She was trained by George "Hitman" Julio and Mike Burr / Mike Manson (Alpha) and she made her pro wrestling debut in March of 2007 in a battle royal.
As Kellie she is a clean scientific wrestler, but when she switches to the "Rate Tank"....watch out!
Besides wrestling in Australia, Kellie has wrestled for SHIMMER here.
SHIMMER seems to have a fair amount of Australian wrestlers.

Kellie Skater with an armbar on Nevaeh
Her finishing moves are the "Skate and Destroy" (Code Red, Leg trap sunset flip powerbomb) and the "Skate or Die" (an inverted STF).

MsChif Updates
http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/shimmerwrestling/
Another female wrestler I haven't updated in awhile....
MsChif.
I like MsChif, I always have and I always will.
"Your Soul's Tormentor" has wrestled for several promotions including the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), Shimmer Women Athletes, Gateway Championship Wrestling (GCW), All Pro Wrestling (APW), Coastal Wrestling Alliance (CWA), Ring of Honor (ROH), IWA Mid South and even NWA: Total Nonstop Action (NWA:TNA).
As far as belts go, she has held the Coastal Wrestling Association Tag Team Championship with Cindy Rogers, the GCW Light Heavyweight Championship, the NWA World Women's Championship twice, the NWA Midwest Women's Championship twice, the NWA Midwest/IWA Mid-South Women's Championship, the Shimmer Championship and she was the winner of
ChickFight IV.
Now that Daffney is in TNA, nothing would make me happier than to see her drop the "Governor" gimmick, go back to crazy Daffney and bring MsChif in to be her partner.
TNA wouldnt know what hit them.

Simply Luscious / Veronica (Ronnie) Stevens
Wrestler Name: Simply Luscious
Real Name: Veronica (Ronnie) Stevens
Birthday: July 19, 1973
Hometown: San Antonio, Texas
Marital Status: Divorced
Height & Weight: 5'5" - 130 lbs
Trained by: Rudy Boy Gonzales, Shawn Michaels, Dory Funk Jr
Pro Wrestling Debut: 2000
Previous Gimmicks: Simply Luscious (Indys), Nurse Veronica (TNA)
Finishing Wrestling Move: Luscious Landing (Dudley Dog)
Favorite Moves: Springboard Elbow, Tarantula, Twist of Fate
Veronica "Ronnie" Stevens, better known by her ring name, Simply Luscious, is a female pro wrestler who works on the independent circuit.
Stevens studied karate and ballet before getting into wrestling. She became the only female graduate of the Shawn Michaels' Texas Wrestling Academy, where she trained along with Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Matt Bentley and Bryan Danielson. She made her in-ring debut against Chris Marvel in San Antonio, Texas, under the name Simply Luscious, a name she supposedly got from her ex-husband, hockey player Ryan Pisiak.
Mostly, Simply Luscious is a heel character. But despite her nasty in-ring character, she is still loved by many fans. Part of her gimmick is to come out from the back, bouncing on one leg (similar to that of Shawn Michaels.) She will often taunt and insult the crowd if they don't cheer for her - which only infuriates the fans more. Part of an on-going in-character joke (which can be seen on WEW pay-per-views and recent DVD releases) is to exaggerate her weight. When the ring announcer says where she is from and how much she weighs, she often will take the microphone and correct him by saying her real weight is ten pounds more than what was announced.
Simply Luscious appeared briefly in the WCW in a spot with Tank Abbott, where she received a concussion.
Throughout 2002, Simply Luscious worked Jersey All Pro Wrestling, but made a name for herself in Ring of Honor. On June 22 of that year, Simply Luscious joined ROH stable The Prophecy led by Christopher Daniels. At Final Battle on December 28, Simply Luscious was defeated by Alexis Laree (Mickie James). Later that night, she left the Prophecy to join Steve Corino's new Group and feud with the Prophecy.
In 2003, Luscious was brought up to work for the NWA:TNA promotion as a Knockout. She was given the new ring name Nurse Veronica and became the leader of an all-female faction known as "Bitchslap" with Tracy and Valentina. Ronnie Stevens turned down a two-year contract with TNA Wrestling, hoping to someday sign with the WWE or a company in Japan.
Throughout 2004 and 2005, after returning to her Simply Luscious ring name, she worked in indy promotions all across the world. On February 14, 2004, Simply Luscious beat Sumie Sakai to become the USA Pro Women's champion. During the summer of 2004 she spent time in Mexico working for LLF and CMLL. She also occasionally works in Zero-One Japan with a heel referee gimmick as well as wrestling.
Stevens returned to the Texas Wrestling Academy in 2006 and spent May through July training in preparation for a WWE try-out in mid July (though she didn't make the cut), and still continues to wrestle with WEW (where she is the current champion) as well as other indy companies.

Sherri Martel, part 4
She managed Ted DiBiase until early 1992 and then parted ways with him after she announced that she was in love with Shawn Michaels; she also sang Michaels theme song called "Heartburn", then renamed Sexy Boy. She would go on to manage Michaels during his feuds with Bret Hart and Rick Martel (who had a flirtatious relationship with Martel). She also appeared on Family Feud during this time, representing the WWF. During this time, Michaels had a brief feud with Savage, and Sherri attacked both Elizabeth and Mike McGuirk at ringside during the matches. One night in late 1992, Marty Jannetty, Michaels' former tag team partner, entered the ring before one of Michaels' matches. He grabbed Martel's mirror; and when he swung the mirror at Michaels, Michaels pulled Martel in front of him, and she was smashed with the mirror. Martel disappeared but returned to the WWF at the 1993 Royal Rumble. She was in a neutral corner for the match between Michaels and Jannetty. Near the end of the match, Martel confronted Michaels outside the ring and slapped him. At the end of the match, she entered the ring to smash him with her shoe, but he ducked, and she hit Jannetty instead. Michaels finished the match and won, while Martel fled the ring in tears. Backstage, Michaels confronted her, and Jannetty came to her rescue.
The following week, Martel thanked Jannetty, and she later appeared in his corner for a match against a jobber. There were rumors that the WWF was planning to hire Madusa and promote a Martel/Jannetty vs. Michaels/Madusa feud, but Jannetty left the WWF before this ever happened. Martel was soon left without anyone to manage and found herself accompanying Crush and Randy Savage to the ring for their matches against Michaels at house shows. Most matches ended when Martel would be invited into the ring, and she would slap Michaels.
At WrestleMania IX, Martel accompanied Tatanka for his match against Michaels, who brought Luna Vachon with him. After the match, Luna attacked Martel, and they began feuding. On the April 12, 1993 edition of RAW, Martel attacked Luna in the first women's segment on RAW. This erupted into a catfight that spilled into the audience, and both women ripped each other's clothes off. Throughout April and May 1993, Martel also appeared in United States Wrestling Association (USWA). She wrestled Miss Texas (Jacqueline) and helped Randy Savage in his feud against Jerry Lawler (who ripped off Martel's dress after she interfered in a steel cage match). On May 31, 1993 Martel appeared in the returning Jannetty's corner for his match against Bam Bam Bigelow on RAW. After the match, Martel called Luna into the ring for a fight. Bigelow interfered, and Tatanka ran to her rescue. During this time, Martel and Luna began having matches at WWF house shows. A couple of weeks later, Martel interrupted an interview with Bigelow, and Tatanka again came to her rescue. When Martel was scheduled to face Luna on TV one week, Luna came to the ring with her arm in a cast (she had broken it in an earlier match against Martel). Bigelow and Luna attacked Martel, and Tatanka yet again saved her. This was going to lead to a mixed tag team match pitting Martel/Tatanka against Luna/Bigelow at the 1993 SummerSlam, but Martel was fired for not passing a drug test . In interviews granted at the time (as well as an article appearing in the WWF Magazine), it was claimed that Martel left the WWF to attend cosmetology school.

Sherri Martel, part 3
On July 24, 1987 Sherri Martel debuted in the WWF and defeated The Fabulous Moolah for the WWF Women's Wrestling Title. At this time she was still the AWA's Women's champion, however, losing this title 3 days later. This makes her the only wrestler (woman or man) to hold a world title for two major organizations at the same time.
Renaming herself Sensational Sherri, she reigned as WWF Women's Champion for fifteen months, taking on opponents like Debbie Combs, Velvet McIntyre, and Desiree Peterson. At the 1987 Survivor Series, Martel's team consisting of Martel, The Glamour Girls (Leilani Kai and Judy Martin), Dawn Marie, and Donna Christanello lost to The Fabulous Moolah's team consisting of Moolah, Velvet McIntyre, Rockin' Robin, and the Jumping Bomb Angels (Noriyo Tateno and Itsuki Yamazaki). It was on October 8, 1988 that she was finally defeated for the title by Rockin' Robin. In the early months of 1988, she portrayed Peggy Sue, the valet of The Honky Tonk Man, while appearing as Sherri in the same period (Peggy wore sunglasses and a blonde wig, so she was not recognizable). She was often jealous of Miss Elizabeth and even attacked her during one match. When the WWF phased out its women's division in 1990, Martel remained with the company and turned her attention to managing male wrestlers.
At WrestleMania V, Martel appeared backstage and mocked both Rockin' Robin and Miss Elizabeth. After the main event, Martel confronted Miss Elizabeth, which led to a brawl between Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. Throughout the remainder of 1989, Martel and Savage feuded with Hogan and Elizabeth. At the 1989 SummerSlam, Hogan and Brutus Beefcake defeated Savage and Zeus. After the match, Elizabeth knocked out Martel with her purse, and she, Hogan, and Beefcake cut Martel's hair (a long ponytail hair extension). Shortly after, she became known as Sensational Queen Sherri, as Savage defeated "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan to become King of the WWF. At the 1990 Royal Rumble, Martel appeared on the "Brother Love Show" with Sapphire. After insulting the "common woman", Martel was slapped by Sapphire. At WrestleMania VI, Martel and Savage lost a mixed tag-team match against Sapphire and Dusty Rhodes after Elizabeth, who was in the corner of Sapphire and Rhodes, interfered and shoved Martel. At the 1990 SummerSlam, Martel defeated Sapphire by forfeit when Sapphire failed to appear for the match (It was later revealed that she had betrayed Rhodes and was now working for Ted DiBiase). Martel and Savage also appeared on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous with Robin Leach. At WrestleMania VII, Savage lost a career match against The Ultimate Warrior. Martel attacked Savage but was thrown from the ring by Elizabeth, who was watching from the audience. When she and Savage parted ways following the career match, Martel became the right hand woman of the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase.

Sherri Martel. part 2

After training under The Fabulous Moolah, Larry Zbyszko helped her join the AWA. He felt she had a little bit of potential and thought she just needed to learn how to do wrestling interviews.
She eventually debuted the AWA, and on September 28, 1985 at SuperClash she defeated Candi Devine for the AWA World Women's Championship. Later that year, the title was taken from Martel and awarded to Devine, but Martel regained the title on October 17, 1985.
On April 20, 1986 Martel won a battle royal at WrestleRock '86 that included Devine, Debbie Combs, Rose Devine, Joyce Grable, Kat LeRoux, Despina Montegas, Misty Blue Simmes, and Luna Vachon. On May 10, 1986 she helped Buddy Rose and Doug Somers win the AWA World Tag Team Championship. Having previously vacated the AWA Women's Championship, Martel defeated Devine on June 28, 1986 to begin her third reign as champion.
In the spring of 1987, Martel began managing Kevin Kelly. Her most memorable moment as his manager came when she interfered in an arm wrestling match between Kelly and Tommy Rich on ESPN's AWA Championship Wrestling. Rich got immediate revenge by cornering the escaping Martel and ripping her dress off to reveal a strapless pink teddy and black stockings. In the following weeks, Rich would come to ringside during Kelly's matches and taunt Martel with her stolen dress.
On May 2, 1987 Martel defeated Madusa Miceli at SuperClash 2.
Former AWA wrestler Jesse Ventura then referred her to the WWF. Martel credited Vince McMahon for being the one who molded her in the WWF.

Growing up, Martel dreamed of becoming a clown with Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus. She ran away from home to join the circus, but was told that the people there were born into working there. Eventually, she became interested in professional wrestling when she started going with her mother and sister to the matches in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
In 1974, Martel approached Grizzly Smith for advice on becoming a wrestler. Smith questioned her conviction and told her to come back to him in five years when she was an adult . She eventually married and gave birth to a son named Jared, but soon divorced her husband and began working as a stripper . During this time, she again became interested in becoming a professional wrestler, and sought training from Butch Moore in Memphis, Tennessee. In the latter part of 1979, she went to The Fabulous Moolah's school. In January and February 1980, she wrestled on a tour in Japan. Upon returning to the United States, she began wrestling in Memphis working as both a wrestler and manager to Pat Rose and Tom Pritchard. During this time, she was managed by Jim Cornette. Nice Article on Nancy Daus Sullivan Benoit

Really nice article on Nancy Benoit's life on Slam Sports..
" Since Monday, wrestling fans in particular have been trying to get their heads around the last three days of Chris Benoit's life. Not to belittle the tragedy in any way, but within this, the career of his wife, Nancy "Woman" Benoit, has largely been skipped. "

Jackie Moore - Part 4

In late-2001, Jacqueline remained loyal to the WWF throughout The Invasion, feuding with Alliance members Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson, Ivory and Mighty Molly. She took part in the six pack challenge for the vacant WWF Women's Championship on November 18 at Survivor Series 2001, which was won by Trish Stratus. Several weeks later, Jacqueline challenged Trish for the title at Vengeance 2001. Jacqueline dominated the match but was surprised by a backslide pin, costing herself victory and another championship reign. Jacqueline and Trish shook hands before and after the match in a show of good sportsmanship.
In 2002, Jacqueline became a referee, with her debut match being a Women's Championship bout between Jazz and Trish Stratus at the 2002 Royal Rumble. At WrestleMania X8 she refereed a match pitting Mr. Perfect, Lance Storm and Test against Scotty 2 Hotty, Albert and Rikishi on the Sunday Night HEAT pre-show. Jacqueline wrestled infrequently throughout 2002, receiving several title shots, none of which were successful. In late 2002, she and Trish Stratus began a feud with Victoria and Jazz, which culminated in a four way match for the title at Judgment Day 2003 on May 18, which Jazz won. She took part in a battle royal for the title on June 30, which was won by the debuting Gail Kim.
Jacqueline seldom appeared throughout late 2003 and early 2004, instead spending some of her time working as a trainer in Ohio Valley Wrestling. On the May 6, 2004 episode of SmackDown!, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero, Jr. issued an open challenge for anyone to face him for his title, and Jacqueline answered. Jacqueline defeated Chavo in an upset victory. Jacqueline was defeated by Chavo's father, Chavo Classic, in a non-title match on the May 13 episode of SmackDown!, and on May 16 at Judgment Day 2004. She lost the Cruiserweight Championship back to Chavo Guerrero, Jr. in a match where Chavo's arm was tied behind his back.
In June 2004, Jacqueline was released from World Wrestling Entertainment.
Jacqueline debuted in TNA Wrestling on the November 7, 2004 Victory Road 2004 pay-per-view, losing to Trinity. She made a second appearance with TNA on December 5 at Turning Point 2004, where she refereed a tag team match between Pat Kenney and Johnny B. Badd and Johnny Swinger and Glenn Gilberti.
In 2006, Jacqueline appeared at several TNA-branded house shows produced by the United Wrestling Federation. She returned to TNA proper at Final Resolution 2007 on January 14, 2007 as Miss Tennessee eventually reverting to "The Pride of Tennessee" Jackie Moore (Sometimes Ms. Jackie Moore as well), joining forces with James Storm by attacking his erstwhile manager, Gail Kim. Storm and Moore teamed up to defeat Kim and Petey Williams at both Against All Odds and Destination X, with the latter being a "Rub and Tug" match. Moore was defeated by Kim at Lockdown 2007 in TNA's first women's cage match.
Recently, during a Street Fight with Gail Kim on iMPACT!, Moore had her two front teeth knocked out of her mouth.

Jackie Moore - Part 3

P.M.S. gained a "Love slave" named Meat in May 1999. In the same month, the stable expanded once more to incorporate Ryan Shamrock, who had been spurned by the womanizing Val Venis. Shamrock left both the stable and the WWF in the following months, while Terri and Jacqueline assisted Meat in his matches. Tension began to grow between the two women as Terri (kayfabe) exhausted Meat with hours of sex before his matches and then berated her fatigued lover when he lacked the energy to win matches. Jacqueline left the stable after Terri forced Meat to kiss her feet on the August 1 episode of Sunday Night HEAT.
On the September 6 episode of RAW, Jacqueline faced the misogynistic Jeff Jarrett in advance of his Intercontinental Championship match with Chyna. Jarrett squashed Jacqueline, choked her with the ring ropes, forced her to submit with the figure four leglock, and broke a guitar over her head.
Jacqueline soon returned to her pursuit of the Women's Wrestling Championship, which she failed to win from Ivory in a three way hardcore match which also included Luna on November 18. On November 25, Jacqueline defeated Ivory in a "gravy bowl match" to win the Golden Ladle Trophy. At Armageddon 1999 on December 12, she took part in a four way evening gown match for the Women's Wrestling Championship but was stripped following a combined assault from her opponents, Ivory, Miss Kitty and B.B..
Jacqueline won the WWF Women's Wrestling Championship for a second time on February 1 by defeating Harvey Wippleman (who had won the belt from Miss Kitty while in drag and calling himself "Hervina") in a very short match. Her reign lasted throughout February and March, with Jacqueline defeating Ivory and Lita to retain the title. On March 28, she was challenged by Stephanie McMahon, and the inexperienced Stephanie defeated Jacqueline following extensive interference from D-Generation X.
Jacqueline's requests for a rematch were denied, and she lost a battle royal for the number one contendership to Lita. On the July 2 episode of Sunday Night HEAT, WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Dean Malenko challenged "anyone with enough manhood" to face him. After Jacqueline came to the ring, Malenko explained that he had said "manhood, not somebody from the hood." Jacqueline was granted a title shot, but submitted to Malenko's Texas cloverleaf.
Throughout August and September, Jacqueline feuded with WWF Women's Wrestling Champion Lita, aligning herself with Edge and Christian to counter the presence of Lita's constant companions, The Hardy Boyz. She received further title shots on October 9 and November 2, but failed to unseat Lita on both occasions.
The Acolyte Protection Agency (Faarooq and Bradshaw) recruited Jacqueline on the December 18 episode of RAW, asking her to take care of Trish Stratus while they fought Stratus' clients, T & A. In the resulting six person tag match, Jacqueline pinned Stratus. On the December 21 episode of SmackDown!, Jacqueline challenged Right to Censor member Ivory to a title match. After the other members of R.T.C. distracted Jacqueline and enabled Ivory to pin her, the A.P.A. repaid the favor by saving Jacqueline from a group beating after the match.
The feud between the A.P.A. and R.T.C. continued throughout early-2001 and culminated in a match at WrestleMania X-Seven on April 1, which pitted R.T.C. (Bull Buchanan, The Goodfather and Val Venis) against The A.P.A. and Tazz. In the early stages of the match, Jacqueline DDT'ed Stevie Richards, the leader of R.T.C. who had accompanied them to ringside. R.T.C. lost the match after Bradshaw pinned The Goodfather.
In mid-2001, Jacqueline, along with Tazz, Al Snow and Tori, became a trainers on the MTV reality TV series Tough Enough.

Jacqueline DeLois Moore known as Jacqueline is an American professional wrestler and actress. She worked for both WCW and WWE, and made history in the latter promotion as the first African American woman to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, and as the first African American to win the WWF Women's Championship. She is currently working for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as "The Pride of Tennessee" Jackie Moore.
Jacqueline was a professional wrestling fan as a child, and began training under Skandor Akbar after she met him in a gym. She was the only female in his school, preparing her for a career in which she would often wrestle against men. She debuted in 1989 in the Texas-based World Class Championship Wrestling promotion as Sweet Georgia Brown.
In 1992 Jacqueline moved on to the United States Wrestling Association in Memphis, where she was known as Miss Texas. She became a fixture in the women's division, which she would dominate for four years. She was the first ever USWA Women's Champion, winning the newly created title in a tournament on March 2, 1992. She lost the title to Lauren Davenpot on April 13, and regained the title on August 24. Feuding with Davenport, Moondog Fifi and Leslie Belanger, she held the title two more times in 1992 and three times in 1993. Throughout 1993, she wrestled WWF stars Sensational Sherri and Luna Vachon. She was out of the title picture for much of 1994, only winning the title once, on December 5, but enjoyed four more reigns in 1995. She held the title a thirteenth and fourteenth time in 1996 before losing her final USWA Women's Championship to Tasha Simone on November 4, 1996.
In November 1995 Jacqueline made five appearances with Smoky Mountain Wrestling in Kentucky and Tennessee as Sgt. Rock. She defeated Ron Davis in her debut match, then feuded with The Wolfman throughout the remainder of the month.
Jacqueline began submitting her resume to the Atlanta, Georgia-based World Championship Wrestling, and was eventually contacted by WCW employee J.J. Dillon, who offered her a contract. She debuted in WCW in January 1997 as the on-screen girlfriend of Kevin Sullivan, then feuding with his estranged wife, Woman, and her boyfriend, Chris Benoit. The two couples fought one another until Benoit defeated Sullivan in a retirement match. At Road Wild on August 9, Jacqueline became the valet of Harlem Heat. She later engaged in a brief feud with Disco Inferno, who she defeated in an upset victory at Halloween Havoc 1997 on October 26.
Jackie Moore's contract was allowed to expire in 1998.
