The Fabulous Moolah in Action

Long before she ever hit the WWF or WWE The Fabulous Moolah as a big name in women's wrestling.
Love her or hate her, she carved a niche for herself in what was a male dominated sport.

The Magnificent Mimi vs Bambi - Ladies Wrestling

Last time I mentioned when Heels were Heels.
A good example of that was the Magnificent Mimi.
Mimi was absolutely gorgeous.
And she could be mean as a snake.
I pretty much guarantee she could reduce any of today’s "Divas" to tears in a few minutes.
A little biting, stomping, eye gouging and hair pulling would have the perfectly coiffed "Total Divas" begging for mercy.

Here she is up against her exact opposite, Bambi.
Bambi was a Face, but she could brawl if she had to.
She preferred to punish her opponents with wrestling hold though.
You don’t get to see ladies like this in the ring any more.

Back When Female Heels Were Tough

Remember back in ladies pro wrestling when Heels were actually Heels?
Now they are not really a lot different from the Faces.
Both of them are rough now, but nothing like the good old days.
Today you can barely tell them apart by their wrestling techniques.

Back in the good old days of women's pro wrestling, female Heels would bite, kick, scratch, stomp, gouge, pull hair, tights, use foreign objects, whatever it took to punish the Faces.
Now days they slap and maybe pull hair.

Case in point, ladies like Leilani Kai.
Here we have Leilani raking her nails down the back of the beautiful Magnificent Mimi and causing her a lot of pain.

And here she is hiding a choke from the ref as she tries to take out Reggie Bennett.
Hey, Leilani was trained by The Fabulous Moolah, she knows dirty.

Outside of the Indy promotions, I don't think you will find ladies that can be this sadistic in the ring anymore.
I guess in pro wrestling black and white has just blurred into gray.

Maximum Pro Wrestling - Gold Rush 2014

You know I love Indy wrestling.
And I love almost all the wrestlers from Canada.
So here is the best of both worlds.

Maximum Pro Wrestling is having their Gold Rush 2014 on April 26th.
Here's a little bit about them from their website....
"MaxPro was formed in February 2010, as a result of a merger with Canada's two most prominent wrestling organizations. This makes MaxPro the largest and most professional, family-friendly, pro-wrestling product available in Canada. Their wrestling shows can be seen across Ontario, from Windsor to Toronto to Thunder Bay, and all points in between! MaxPro has also hosted yearly events in Iqualuit, Nunavut and worked events across Canada.
Today, Max Pro looks to highlight the rising stars of Ontario, all while promoting social campaigns, ranging from anti-bullying programs, healthy alternatives to social events, and integration into the educational environment."

Sounds good right?
Well of course the focus of this site is the ladies, and the ladies there will be MMA Ring Girl Mary Pearl, She Nay Nay, April Hunter, So Cal Val and Sunny.
You know how I am about redheads.
April Hunter and So Cal Val at the same event?
Yes please.

You can find out more about all this at Max Pro's website here:
