More of UK Pro Lady Wrestler Rusty Blair

Here are some more shots of old school women's wrestling in the UK, with Rusty Blair going up against Tina Starr (I think).
Rusty was usually a Face, but a lot of people preferred her as a Heel, especially wrestling Tina.

Cherokee Princess - British Womens Pro Wrestling

I did a write up on Cherokee Princess back last year.
And I mentioned then that her name would never fly today.
Since she was a British women's professional wrestling star, I doubt very seriously that she was Cherokee.
I mean she may have been, but I doubt it.
But she was beautiful.
And a some time partner of British female wrestling legend Mitzi Mueller.

Ana Marie Martinez - British Womens Pro Wrestling

Old school British Women's Pro Wrestling star Ana-Marie Martinez.
I think Ana's real name may have been Beverley Cohen, but I'm not sure.
Ana was to say the least....curvy.
You rarely see women built like that wrestling today.

Beverley Cohen wrestling so you can compare the two yourself.

Leather Lena - British Women's Pro Wrestling

Here is British female wrestler Lena Blair (Barbara Swann) again when she was known as "Leather Lena" putting a headlock on someone.
Maybe Cherokee Princess?
Knowing Lena it was probably really a choke, but hey, that's her style.

Lena Blair - British Women's Pro Wrestling

Here's another shot of one of the greats of British classic women's wrestling, Lena Blair (Barbara Swann).
Lena was also known as Miss Lena and Leather Lena.
I believe this is a picture from the 1980s when she had gotten into bodybuilding.

In my last write up I did part one of this match. Here is part Two with Lena Blair taking on Rusty Blair

Sweet Saraya and Ricky Knight - British Wrestling

Since everyone seemed to like the picture I posted a while back of WWE Diva Paige's mom, Sweet Saraya, I thought I would post another.
This time it's Mom AND Dad, Sweet Saraya and Ricky Knight.
Pretty cool huh?

Sweet Saraya - Womens Wrestling UK

Here is the very proud mom of WWE Diva Paige, Sweet Saraya.
Now this picture is from back in the day when Julia Hamer-Bevis must have been right around Paige's age now.
Saraya debuted in 1990 and has been going strong ever since.

She has held a ton of wrestling titles in her career....
Herts and Essex Wrestling Women's Championship (three times)
New Horizons Pro Wrestling IndyGurlz Australia Championship
Queens of Chaos World Queens of Chaos Championship title
Premier Wrestling Federation Ladies Tag Team Championship (with her daughter)
Real Quality Wrestling Women's Championship
Shimmer Women Athletes Shimmer Championship
World Association of Wrestling British Championship
And in 2013, Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked her #3 of the best 50 female singles wrestlers in the PWI Female 50.

Here's Saraya channeling Sensational Sherri before Saraya even started getting in the ring.
She just interfered.

And here is Saraya going up against her daughter in a match from several years ago....

UK Women's Wrestling - Rusty Blair vs Tina Starr

Here's a picture of Old School UK lady pro wrestlers Rusty Blair (brunette) and Tina Starr (blonde) mixing it up back in the day.
I'm really thinking about making a blog just for UK wrestling.

And if the picture isn't enough, here is Tina and Rusty in the ring on YouTube...

Erin Angel - Womens Wrestling UK

Erin Marshall is an English female wrestler best known by her ring name Erin Angel, often nicknamed "Little" due to her short stature of only four feet, eleven inches.

Still early in her career, at the age of 19, she is in the top eight of women wrestlers in the United Kingdom, and is well known as working as a valet for wrestlers.

Erin Angel describes her gimmick in wrestling as "I'm a little angel...until you cross me!" Angel works a mixed style of wrestling, as she has been taught in the British old-school style, however she is known to mix this up with new school, and high flying styles. Erin Angels ring gear is often pink and made of PVC, she has stated her favorite costume is her chaps set (black with pink).

Erin Marshall was born in Southampton and was trained by Drew McDonald, Doug Williams, Phil Powers, and Jonny Storm. She made her first competitive appearance at the age of 16 in a battle royal. During one of her early Holiday camp tours, she suffered a concussion at the hands of a male wrestler.

The biggest win in Erin Angel's career is considered to be that against the 23 Stone UK female veteran Klondyke Kate, who she beat in a tag contest via disqualification.

Other career highlights include valeting Jake "The Snake" Roberts at a show in Croydon, defeating Simply Luscious when they competed in Erin Angel's home town of Southampton, and competing in France's Queens of Chaos promotion with some big name female wrestlers.

While wrestling in Real Quality Wrestling, a promotion run by her trainer Phil Powers, she defeated Nikita; a top female star in the UK. Erin Angel also went on to defeat Ashley Page and Skye in a triple threat match for a chance at RQW's newly created Women's championship. Erin Angel would go on to win this new title after defeating Sweet Saraya at the promotion's "A Night Of Champions" show. Erin Angel was removed as the Women's Champion not long after long time boyfriend Phil Powers left the company.

When not wrestling, you might find Erin Marshall swimming or at college studying social sciences. She also is a swimming instructor and enjoys listening to music, mainly Pop and Dance music. She also has a bulldog named Dolly.

Phil Powers and Erin Angel have been together for two years and have struck up a personal relationship. They currently run their own training school in Southampton.
