Niya Barela is a female indy wrestler that works for World Xtreme Wrestling and Shine Wrestling.
She was trained at Afa Anoa'i's Wild Samoan Pro Wrestling Training Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania where Batista, Chris Kanyon, Billy Kidman, Gene Snitsky, Umaga and Rosey were all trained.
She also trained at Team Taz Dojo and she made her wrestling debut in 2009.
Niya was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico and is five foot, three inches tall and weighs 132 pounds.
Stats like that harken back to the "old days" of wrestling when not all the women wrestlers looked like fitness models.
Besides Niya, she has wrestled as Ezavel Suena, Niya Verino, Princess Niya and Niya Barela.
This is female wrestler Jessica James.
Jessica is 5 foot, one inch, weighs 110 pounds and is from Dallas, Texas.
She made her pro wrestling debut in 2004 and has worked for wrestling promotions like PCW Wrestling, Booker T's Pro Wrestling Alliance, Anarchy Championship Wrestling, XCW Wrestling, Shimmer and more.
Her signature wrestling moves are the Top Rope Crossbody, Scorpion Kick and the Yakuza Kick.
Here is a video of Jessica James wrestling Amanda Fox at Booker T's Pro Wrestling Alliance.

Leva Bates is so cool.
I have seen pictures of her at comic book conventions, dressed up as superheroes and anime charcters.
She's like a female Indy wrestler version of the Hurricane, only better.
Leva is five foot two, 120 pounds and she's from Gotham City (?) Florida.
(Really she's from Madisonville, Kentucky)
She was trained by Team 3D Academy and made her pro wrestling debut in March 0f 2007 and has worked for a ton of wrestling promotions like SHIMMER, Full Impact Pro, Coastal Championship Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Fusion and World Xtreme Wrestling.
Though she was never on the TNA roster, she did show up on TNA during Awesome Kong’s $25,000 Challenge.
And here's the video from March 29th, 2008 of Leva taking on Kong...
There are a variety of ways you can keep up with Leva....

Leva Bates - Women of Wrestling, posted to http://womensprowrestling.blogspot.com/ on February 3rd, 2011
This beautiful young lady is independent female wrestler Athena.
Athena is from Garland Texas and was trained by the legendary Skandor Akbar.
She has worked for wrestling promotions like Anarchy Championship Wrestling, XCW Wrestling, Booker T's Pro Wrestling Alliance and Shimmer.
I've never made any secret of how awesome I think MsChif is.
She has that certain something that female wrestlers need to make it big.
I kinda wonder why she has never made the jump to WWE or TNA, but I am kinda glad she hasn't.
I didn't see MsChif's name on the G.L.O.R.Y. Hot 100 which kinda dissapointed me (actually, I didn't see her on GLORY at all), but she did come in fourth on the PWI Female 50 for 2009, so that made me feel better.
Hey, MsChif started 2009 as the NWA World Women's champion, the SHIMMER champion, AND the NWA Midwest Women's champion... she deserves to be at LEAST fourth.
MsChif has her own website: http://www.mschif.net/ and her fan page at MySpace http://www.myspace.com/mschifonline where you can keep up with her appearances.
Of course my "dream team" is Daffney and MsChif.
Could you imgaine the two of them tag teaming in TNA to go after the TNA Knockouts title held by Sarita and Taylor Wilde?
And if you wanna make me really happy, how about Daffney, MsChif and a "psycho" Tara teaming up.
Kinda like an "Anti-Beautiful People".
Melbourne, Australia native Tenille Dashwood is another Aussie poised to make a dent in the female wrestling scene.
She is known as Tenille Tayla in Australia and simply Tenille in North American promotions.
This young lady was bitten by the wrestling bug at the age of 10, and decided pro wrestling way the way she wanted to go.
After she graduated high school, she took some business management courses at a university, but wrestling was what was on her mind.
So she traveled to Calgary, Alberta, and attended Lance Storm's Wrestling Academy.
She trained there for three months before moving back to Australia and getting into the wrestling scene there.
After wrestling there for a bit, she and fellow Aussie Jessie McKay caught the atttention of SHIMMER promoter Dave Prazak (via Sara Del Rey who worked with Tenille in Australia) and she was soon in the US making her debut in SHIMMER.
Besides SHIMMER, Tenille has worked for PWA Queensland, PWA Australia, SWA Newcastle, Nightmare Wrestling, Pro Wrestling eKlipse and Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW).
Rachel Summerlyn is an indy female wrestler that wrestles for promotions like Shimmer, Pro Wrestling Evolution, IWA-Mid South and Anarchy Championship Wrestling (ACW).
Her hometwon is Austin Texas and she made her pro wrestling debut in November of 2006.
And this young lady has mixed it up with some of the best.
Her very first match was against the imposing Vanessa Kraven!
And Rachel won!
She has also faced Mickie Knuckles, MsChif and Daffney, just to name a few.
This young lady from Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, Australia is Indy wrestler Kellie Skater.
She was trained by George "Hitman" Julio and Mike Burr / Mike Manson (Alpha) and she made her pro wrestling debut in March of 2007 in a battle royal.
As Kellie she is a clean scientific wrestler, but when she switches to the "Rate Tank"....watch out!
Besides wrestling in Australia, Kellie has wrestled for SHIMMER here.
SHIMMER seems to have a fair amount of Australian wrestlers.
Reby Sky punishing Kellie
Kellie Skater with an armbar on Nevaeh
Her finishing moves are the "Skate and Destroy" (Code Red, Leg trap sunset flip powerbomb) and the "Skate or Die" (an inverted STF).
I talk a lot about Shimmer here, but I have never really taken the time to highlight just what it is. Shimmer is called Shimmer Women Athletes or SHIMMER Women Athletes or just plain SHIMMER. It is a Chicago based female independent pro wrestling promotion created by Dave Prazak and run by him and Allison Danger. Shimmer held it's first event on November 6, 2005. SHIMMER is closely affiliated with ROH (Ring of Honor) and is the home of probably the best female wrestling you will see.
And the list of SHIMMER wrestlers from the past and present is long and stellar. Just a few of the female wrestlers that have worked for the company are Rain, Ariel, Jetta, Cat Power, Nevaeh, Daffney, Lorelei Lee, Cheerleader Melissa and Jennifer Blake.
Of course many SHIMMER stars ( like Amazing Kong (Awesome Kong), Cheerleader Melissa (Raisha Saeed) , Daffney, Nikki Roxx (Roxxi) and for a short time, Rain, as Payton Banks ) have gone onto work for TNA.
And Beth Phoenix and Nattie Neidhart (Natalya) also worked for Shimmer at one time. . I really cant say enough about this organization, so the best thing to do is check out their website here: http://www.visuex.com/shimmer/index.php
Miss Natural is another young lady that works for Shimmer Women Athletes.
She is from Golden Valley, Minnesota and stands 5'4" and weighs 145.
Her wrestling training is to be envied, she was trained by Ken Patera and Harley Race!
Miss Natural made her pro wrestling debut in 2000.
Besides Shimmer, she has worked for WLW (World League Wrestling), Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) and World of Hurt Wrestling.
Another lovely young lady from the Land Down Under.....Jessie McKay.
Jessie trained at the Eagles Wrestling Academy and made her pro wrestling debut in June 2007.
She often teams with another OZ beauty, Madison Eagles.
Madison is 6'1 and Jessie is 5'10.
Jessie has worked for the PWA Pro Wrestling Alliance, PWAQ Pro Wrestling Alliance Queensland, RCW Riot City Wrestling, CZW, Ring of Honor (ROH), SHIMMER and Chikara Pro wrestling promotions.
This beautiful young lady is Indy pro wrestler Nicole Matthews.
And yes, like Trish Stratus and Gail Kim and others to numerous to mention, she is yet another Canadian wrestling beauty.
Nicole was born on January 15, 1987 in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
She was trained by Gorgeous Michelle Starr, Scotty Mac, Vance Nevada, Aaron Idol and Artemis Spencer, and made her pro wrestling debut in February of 2006.
Nicole is one half of the Canadian Ninjas with Portia Perez.
And she's a "heel".
Don't you just love heels?
Nicole has held the ECCW SuperGirls Championship (twice) and wrestles for Shimmer and NWA: Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling.
I did an entry back in 2007 on Danyah, so I thought I'd do a little update.
Canadian professional wrestler, Danyah Rivietz was born on February 25 (????) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
See? I swear there is some kind of genetic research going on in Canada producing superhumans!
Anyway, Danyah has wrestled for SHIMMER, Great Canadian Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Xtreme and Pure Wrestling Association wrestling promotions.
As you can tell by her sleek, muscled build, before wrestling she was into kickboxing and fitness.
She was trained by the Squared Circle Pro Wrestling facility (Rob Fuego) and the Devine Dungeon (Johnny Devine) and made her pro wrestling debut on May 15, 2005.
During her wrestling career she has had wrestling matches with 21st Century Fox, Nattie Neidhart, April Hunter, Cherry Bomb, Becky Bayless, Nikki Roxx and Malia Hosaka among many others.
Cherry Bomb was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Cherry got her wrestling training from Rob Fuego at Squared Circle Training, in Toronto.
Her pro wrestling debut was in May 2005. She teamed with Taylor Wilde against Tiana Ringer and Danyah.
She was the first ever Pro Wrestling Xtreme Women's Wrestling Champion and Cherry Bomb defeated April Hunter, Hailey Rogers and Miss Danyah in a to win the Great Canadian Wrestling W.I.L.D. title
Her favorite wrestling moves are the Tilt-a-Whirl Head Scissors, "The Cherry Choke" (top role choke-hold), High Cross Body and the Thez Press.
Her finishing move is the "Cherry Popper" (X-Factor).
Cherry has had feuds with Danyah, 21st Century Fox, Misty Haven and Sirelda (Jamie D).
She has been watching pro wrestling since she was a child, and her favorite wrestler is Trish Stratus.
Cherry has wrestled for Pure Wrestling Association, Pro Wrestling Xtreme, New Vision Pro Wrestling, Great Canadian Wrestling, Motor City Wrestling, ALF and SHIMMER.
She often tag teams with Krystal Banks.
During this time, Tammy appeared at the New Jersey-based NWA Cyberspace promotion. Soon after Sytch's departure from NWA Cyberspace, the New Jersey-based National Wrestling Superstars (NWS) became her new primary wrestling promotion. Tammy appeared on a few of the promotion's shows in the summer, and on June 3, 2006, she managed Lex Luger to victory over Johnny Candido. Prior to the match, a presentation was held from The Manasquan Elks Lodge to the Chris Candido Memorial Fund. The Elks Lodge donated $500 to the fund, with the money being used towards a scholarship for a Manasquan High School student. In spite of the prior ruling, Tammy returned to NWA Shockwave (formerly NWA Cyberspace) in 2006 as a featured headliner. On December 1, 2006, she was appointed the new commissioner of NWA Shockwave. Immediately following this announcement, Commissioner Sytch declared all NWA SW championship titles vacant and informed fans that a new Heavyweight and Internet champion would be crowned on January 13. The promotion temporarily stopped promoting shows due to the death of NWA Shockwave owner Billy Firehawk in July 2006.
Tammy won her first championship belt on December 22, 2007 at a Women Superstars Uncensored show in Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey. She defeated Alicia to become the new WSU Champion. Sytch made an appearance on the 15th Anniversary WWE Raw show on December 10, 2007 in a segment with Vince, Stephanie and Shane McMahon.
Tammy made an appearance at a Ring of Honor show on December 29, 2007 held at New York City, seated at ringside during a non-title three-way match where Daizee Haze defeated fellow ROH regulars Lacey, and then-SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey. Upon the conclusion of the match, Lacey verbally assaulted Sytch and accused her of denigrating women's roles in professional wrestling, which supposedly resulted in women's wrestlers not being taken seriously in the industry. She also threatened to assault her, but Haze made the save on Sytch's behalf. Tammy made a few more appearances for ROH in 2008, where she repeatedly offered her services to Austin Aries but was turned down. On the April 12 ROH show, Larry Sweeney announced that he had opened a "Diva School" and invited Tammy Sytch to be the "trainer", an offer she claimed she would consider.

MsChif is a female professional wrestler. Working primarily on the independent circuit, she has made a name for herself by winning several championships, including the NWA Midwest Women's championship. She has wrestled for the United States' most prominent women's promotion, SHIMMER, has once won the ChickFight women's tournament, and is a former NWA World Women's Champion.
MsChif debuted in July 2001 working for Gateway Championship Wrestling where she was trained by Johnny Greenpeace and Jack Adonis. On that show, she formed an alliance with Delirious that became known as Diabolic Khaos. The team quickly engaged in a feud with Matt Sydal and Daizee Haze which continued on and off for several years, with MsChif primarily wrestling singles matches against Haze or mixed tag matches.
MsChif went on to work in numerous promotions across the United States, notably NWA Missouri, IWA Mid-South, TNA Wrestling and Ring of Honor, with her feud with Haze often following her. She started to chase the NWA Midwest Women's championship, making it to the second round of the tournament to crown the first champion, but losing to eventual champion Lacey. MsChif feuded with Lacey, Mercedes Martinez and Mickie Knuckles until she finally managed to defeat Daizee Haze to win the title. She lost to Mickie Knuckles in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in a triple threat match also involving Allison Danger, but NWA Midwest voided the title change, and she remained champion until losing the title back to Haze in a mixed tag match with Delirious and Sydal.
She appeared on the first SHIMMER Women Athletes show in November 2005, where she scored an upset victory over Cheerleader Melissa that sparked a feud between the two women. This led to a number of battles between the two, including a Falls Count Anywhere match and a Last Woman Standing match. MsChif also won a six woman match featuring some of SHIMMER's top stars at a Ring of Honor show in March 2006. In April, she won the fourth ChickFight women's tournament defeating Mercedes Martinez in the final, and in January 2007 she pinned Christie Ricci to win the NWA World Women's Championship. On March 24, 2007 she pinned Josie to also capture the NWA Midwest Women's Championship.
On May 5, 2007 in Streamwood, Illinois, MsChif was defeated by Amazing Kong for the NWA World Women's Championship in a title versus title match. Kong had put up her AWA World Women's Championship in that match.
In September 2007, she legitimately sprained her ankle in three places. On September 29 at UCW-Zero's "Shock and Awe" event held at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, Junior X took her place in a previously scheduled match against Cheerleader Melissa. From ringside MsChif hit Melissa with an Asian mist to help Junior X claim the victory.
