Becky Bayless to TNA

Well as pretty much everybody and their brother are reporting, TNA has signed Becky Bayless to a contract.
She had a try-out match last week, and now the number two wrestling promotion has signed both Becky and Rob Eckos as a parody of "Jersey Shore" stars Snooki and The Situation.
Becky's ring name is rumored to be "Cookie"...like "Snooki"....get it?
Although Becky is way better looking than her MTV counterpart.

Becky (whose real name is Rebecca Treston) was born on February 3rd, 1982, and made her wrestling debut in 2002.
She was trained by Ring of Honor (ROH) and TNA star Homicide.

Becky has worked for wrestling promotions like Ring of Honor, Wrestlicious, Women's Extreme Wrestling, Full Impact Pro and Shimmer Women Athletes.

Mia Yim Updates

mia yim-female wrestling-women pro wrestling pictures

Things have been happening quite fast for the lovely Mia Yim since I did my last write up on her.

She took on former WWE diva Mickie James in a match at Maryland Championship Wrestling, and had a try-out match (with Taylor Wilde) for TNA wrestling.
Unfortunately Mia didn't get picked up by TNA.
Their loss.
I think Mia would have made a great addition to a struggling TNA roster.
You know, the only spark of life the Knockouts division had was when they started hiring Indy female wrestlers.

But don't fret for Mia.
She'll be staying plenty busy working for wrestling promotions like ROH (Ring of Honor), CZW (Combat Zone Wrestling) and more.

As I mentioned last time, you can keep up with Mia here...

Shimmer Women Athletes

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
The awesome Rain

I talk a lot about Shimmer here, but I have never really taken the time to highlight just what it is.
Shimmer is called Shimmer Women Athletes or SHIMMER Women Athletes or just plain SHIMMER.
It is a Chicago based female independent pro wrestling promotion created by Dave Prazak and run by him and Allison Danger.
Shimmer held it's first event on November 6, 2005.
SHIMMER is closely affiliated with ROH (Ring of Honor) and is the home of probably the best female wrestling you will see.

And the list of SHIMMER wrestlers from the past and present is long and stellar.
Just a few of the female wrestlers that have worked for the company are Rain, Ariel, Jetta, Cat Power, Nevaeh, Daffney, Lorelei Lee, Cheerleader Melissa and Jennifer Blake.

Of course many SHIMMER stars ( like Amazing Kong (Awesome Kong), Cheerleader Melissa (Raisha Saeed) , Daffney, Nikki Roxx (Roxxi) and for a short time, Rain, as Payton Banks ) have gone onto work for TNA.

And Beth Phoenix and Nattie Neidhart (Natalya) also worked for Shimmer at one time.
.
I really cant say enough about this organization, so the best thing to do is check out their website here:

Or you can go to their MySpace page here:

MsChif Updates

    http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/shimmerwrestling/

Another female wrestler I haven't updated in awhile....
MsChif.
I like MsChif, I always have and I always will.
"Your Soul's Tormentor" has wrestled for several promotions including the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), Shimmer Women Athletes, Gateway Championship Wrestling (GCW), All Pro Wrestling (APW), Coastal Wrestling Alliance (CWA), Ring of Honor (ROH), IWA Mid South and even NWA: Total Nonstop Action (NWA:TNA).

As far as belts go, she has held the Coastal Wrestling Association Tag Team Championship with Cindy Rogers, the GCW Light Heavyweight Championship, the NWA World Women's Championship twice, the NWA Midwest Women's Championship twice, the NWA Midwest/IWA Mid-South Women's Championship, the Shimmer Championship and she was the winner of
ChickFight IV.

Now that Daffney is in TNA, nothing would make me happier than to see her drop the "Governor" gimmick, go back to crazy Daffney and bring MsChif in to be her partner.
TNA wouldnt know what hit them.

You can visit MsChif's website here:

And you can see more of her at Shimmer's website here:

Tammy Lynn Sytch / Sunny, part 4

Tammy Lynn Sytch, Sunny, NWA, SHIMMER, ROH, WWE RA

During this time, Tammy appeared at the New Jersey-based NWA Cyberspace promotion. Soon after Sytch's departure from NWA Cyberspace, the New Jersey-based National Wrestling Superstars (NWS) became her new primary wrestling promotion. Tammy appeared on a few of the promotion's shows in the summer, and on June 3, 2006, she managed Lex Luger to victory over Johnny Candido. Prior to the match, a presentation was held from The Manasquan Elks Lodge to the Chris Candido Memorial Fund. The Elks Lodge donated $500 to the fund, with the money being used towards a scholarship for a Manasquan High School student. In spite of the prior ruling, Tammy returned to NWA Shockwave (formerly NWA Cyberspace) in 2006 as a featured headliner. On December 1, 2006, she was appointed the new commissioner of NWA Shockwave. Immediately following this announcement, Commissioner Sytch declared all NWA SW championship titles vacant and informed fans that a new Heavyweight and Internet champion would be crowned on January 13. The promotion temporarily stopped promoting shows due to the death of NWA Shockwave owner Billy Firehawk in July 2006.

Tammy won her first championship belt on December 22, 2007 at a Women Superstars Uncensored show in Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey. She defeated Alicia to become the new WSU Champion. Sytch made an appearance on the 15th Anniversary WWE Raw show on December 10, 2007 in a segment with Vince, Stephanie and Shane McMahon.

Tammy made an appearance at a Ring of Honor show on December 29, 2007 held at New York City, seated at ringside during a non-title three-way match where Daizee Haze defeated fellow ROH regulars Lacey, and then-SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey. Upon the conclusion of the match, Lacey verbally assaulted Sytch and accused her of denigrating women's roles in professional wrestling, which supposedly resulted in women's wrestlers not being taken seriously in the industry. She also threatened to assault her, but Haze made the save on Sytch's behalf. Tammy made a few more appearances for ROH in 2008, where she repeatedly offered her services to Austin Aries but was turned down. On the April 12 ROH show, Larry Sweeney announced that he had opened a "Diva School" and invited Tammy Sytch to be the "trainer", an offer she claimed she would consider.
