Updates on Juliet "The Huntress"

I haven't done anything on the lovely female wrestler Juliet "the Huntress" in awhile, so here's some more stuff about her.
You may recall that Juliet was nice enough to do an interview with me over at my Beautiful Women of Wrestling blog, so of course that elevates her in my eyes.
But this young lady has the look, talent and charisma that makes you wonder why TNA or the WWE haven't snatched her up yet.

Wrestlin Wally's Wide World of Women's Wrestling

Okay, Now I'm gonna take a minute off doing entries on female wrestlers and do something I rarely do.
Gush about another site.
I have run into Wrestlin Wally's work now and then on the web, and I was delighted to see that he has his own wrestling website.
Its called Wrestlin Wally's Wide World of Women's Wrestling.
If you like really good, close up candid shots of the ladies of Indy wrestling, you really need to check him out.
We're not talking long distance fuzzy pics you can barely make out here.
This is really good, great even, close up pics and action shots.
Wally really needs to think about a "coffee table book" kinda like what Theo Ehret did.
Wally's work is not only good, but it captures the look and feel of these beautiful ladies plying their trade.
And no Wally's not paying me to write this...LOL.
But if you wanna read up to date info and see the latest pics of these beautiful ladies of wrestling, head over to his site.
And just think how much better the WWE Diva's section or TNA's Knockouts would look with Wally doing the pics.
So head on over to http://www.wrestlinwally.com/ and look around.
You won't be disappointed.

UK Wrestler Lexx

UK Wrestler Lexx

At 5 feet tall you wouldn't think a wrestler could be very good would you?
Well you would be WRONG!
This is UK Independent female wrestler Lexx.
And Lexx is proof that good things do come in small packages.
Lexx will take on anyone, male or female, in the ring.
If you want to see more of Lexx, check out her Veoh channel

On a sad note, I can't find any current info on Lexx.
And her website seems to be gone.
I'm wondering if this lovely young lady has left wrestling.
Anyone have any more info?

The AWA World Women's Wrestling Championship

Hikaru
The AWA World Women's Wrestling Championship has a long and varied history.

The first AWA World Women's Wrestling Champion was June Byers.
After the AWA split from the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), she was recognized as the Champion. Mainly because of the infamous 1954 wrestling match in Atlanta, Georgia where Byers beat the NWA World Women's Champion Mildred Burke in what became one of the greatest women's bouts of all time.

In 1960, Penny Banner won a battle royal to become the new AWA World Women's Champion. The AWA had stripped Byers of her title due to not showing up for a title defense.
In 1963, the AWA vacated the title. But the NWA continued to be recognize June Byers as champion until she retired in January 1964.

On April 13, 1963, Kay Noble defeated Kathy Starr to become the new AWA Women's Wrestling Champion.

The title was then held by Vivian Vachon, Betty Nicoli, Candi Devine and Sherri Martel. Sherri and Candi swapped the title back and forth until Sherri finally was stripped of the title for leaving the AWA to go to the WWF in 1987.

On December 27, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Madusa Miceli defeated Candi to take the belt.
Then Wendi Richter defeated Madusa, and held the belt until she too was stripped of the title for leaving the AWA.

On December 6, 1989 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Candi Devine got the belt once again when she defeated Judy Martin.

When the AWA closed in January 1991, the title was retired.

However, in 1999, Dale Gagner revived the belt when he started the independent promotion AWA Superstars of Wrestling, re-licensing the AWA name.
The AWA Superstars of Wrestling awarded the title to former champion Sherri Martel.
On June 19, 2007 the belt was retired again after the passing of Sherri Martel on June 15.

The title was last held by Nanae Takahashi, who is now recognized as the first holder of the newly created AWA Japan Women's Championship.
Jamie D. defeated Nanae Takahashi to take the belt, and Jamie was in turn defeated by Saki Maemura.

Then on December 16, 2007 in Honolulu, Hawaii, Hikaru defeated Maemura in a hair versus title match to become the first Hawaii Championship Wrestling World Women's champion.
After that, Hawaii Championship Wrestling folded in July 2008.

However, I checked and the Hawaii Championship Wrestling site has a page up that says " Under Construction, Coming Soon" so the title may be revived again.

OVW: Sosay

Wrestler/Valet Name : Sosay
Real Name: Jennifer Kaiser
Birthday: January 6, 1980
Hometown: Michigan
Height & Weight: 5'6" - 128 lbs
Trained by: Windy City Pro Wrestling, OVW Training
Pro Wrestling Debut: April 2003
Previous Gimmicks: Desiree (OVW)
Finishing Move: Kaiser Kick
Favorite Moves: Kaiser Roll Up
Notable Feuds: Maria Kanellis, Trinity, Shelly (Martinez), (Joey) Mercury

Jennifer Kaiser is an American actress, model, professional wrestler and artist, better known as Sosay (So-say). She is perhaps most well-known for a stint in OVW.

Sosay began her career as a wrestler in April of 2003 at Windy City Pro Wrestling in Chicago. While there, she would defeat Sandra D to become Windy City Pro Wrestling Ladies' Champion. She moved to Louisville before the year was out and joined Ohio Valley Wrestling where she shared the ring with Mickie James, Beth Phoenix and Maria Kanellis. She had a prominent feud with Maria on OVW Television that included more than a few catfights. She was also involved in notable squabbles with Trinity and Shelly Martinez.

During her time with the company, Sosay was the valet for Ken Doane and, later, a member of Kenny Bolin's B.S. (Bolin Services). While in B.S. she became the Press Secretary to the Revolution that took over OVW.

After a stint as the lackey of Robbie Dawber, Sosay became the publicist for "Fearless" Jack Bull. It was during this time that Sosay got to display her unique and quirky personality while introducing Jack as he performed (or attempted to perform) outrageous stunts. The two later had a feud with Joey Mercury.

Sosay has worked as a promotional representative and model in Las Vegas, Chicago, Miami and many other places. She is a regular spokesmodel for Pinnacle/Cytodyne and has represented their products (such as Xenadrine) at events like the Arnold Fitness Expo (Columbus, Ohio) and the Mr. Olympia fitness Expo (Las Vegas, Nevada).

Sherri (Sherrie) Sinatra is a legendary Australian wrestler.
Amy Action has a really good write up on her at her website:

Sherri (Sherrie) Sinatra - Female Wrestling

I gotta admit, the older wrestlers seem to have had a flair that the newer " Playboy" divas don't. Of course there are exceptions to that rule, Mickie James, Victoria, Beth Phoenix to name a very few.

MsChif - Women of Wrestling

Wrestler: MsChif
Hometown: Billed from The Inferno
Height & Weight: 5'7" - 135 lbs
Trained by: Johnny Greenpeace , Jack Adonis
Pro Wrestling Debut: July 19, 2001
Finishing Move: Code Green (Yoshi Tonic, Sunset flip powerbomb)
Favorite Moves:Desecrator (Scissored single arm DDT) , Red Mist
Notable Feuds: Daizee Haze, Mickie Knuckles, Cheerleader Melissa

MsChif is a female professional wrestler. Working primarily on the independent circuit, she has made a name for herself by winning several championships, including the NWA Midwest Women's championship. She has wrestled for the United States' most prominent women's promotion, SHIMMER, has once won the ChickFight women's tournament, and is a former NWA World Women's Champion.

MsChif debuted in July 2001 working for Gateway Championship Wrestling where she was trained by Johnny Greenpeace and Jack Adonis. On that show, she formed an alliance with Delirious that became known as Diabolic Khaos. The team quickly engaged in a feud with Matt Sydal and Daizee Haze which continued on and off for several years, with MsChif primarily wrestling singles matches against Haze or mixed tag matches.

MsChif - Women of Wrestling

MsChif went on to work in numerous promotions across the United States, notably NWA Missouri, IWA Mid-South, TNA Wrestling and Ring of Honor, with her feud with Haze often following her. She started to chase the NWA Midwest Women's championship, making it to the second round of the tournament to crown the first champion, but losing to eventual champion Lacey. MsChif feuded with Lacey, Mercedes Martinez and Mickie Knuckles until she finally managed to defeat Daizee Haze to win the title. She lost to Mickie Knuckles in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in a triple threat match also involving Allison Danger, but NWA Midwest voided the title change, and she remained champion until losing the title back to Haze in a mixed tag match with Delirious and Sydal.

She appeared on the first SHIMMER Women Athletes show in November 2005, where she scored an upset victory over Cheerleader Melissa that sparked a feud between the two women. This led to a number of battles between the two, including a Falls Count Anywhere match and a Last Woman Standing match. MsChif also won a six woman match featuring some of SHIMMER's top stars at a Ring of Honor show in March 2006. In April, she won the fourth ChickFight women's tournament defeating Mercedes Martinez in the final, and in January 2007 she pinned Christie Ricci to win the NWA World Women's Championship. On March 24, 2007 she pinned Josie to also capture the NWA Midwest Women's Championship.

MsChif - Women of Wrestling

On May 5, 2007 in Streamwood, Illinois, MsChif was defeated by Amazing Kong for the NWA World Women's Championship in a title versus title match. Kong had put up her AWA World Women's Championship in that match.

In September 2007, she legitimately sprained her ankle in three places. On September 29 at UCW-Zero's "Shock and Awe" event held at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, Junior X took her place in a previously scheduled match against Cheerleader Melissa. From ringside MsChif hit Melissa with an Asian mist to help Junior X claim the victory.
