Misty Blue Simmes - Female Pro Wrestlers

Diane Syms was born on February 8, 1962 in Glens Falls, New York.
But she is better known to Old School wrestling fans as Misty Blue Simmes, or just Misty Blue.

Misty started out boxing, but went on to Killer Kowalski's famous wrestling school where she trained for 18 months.
She worked for the American Wrestling Association (AWA), the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and the Ladies Professional Wrestling Association (LPWA) where she tag teamed with Heidi Lee Morgan.
Misty also did some work with World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

How tough was Misty?
She once competed in an eight person mixed tag team match teaming with Dusty Rhodes, Nikita Koloff, and Barry Windham against Jim Cornette, The Midnight Express, and Dick Murdoch.
You get in the ring with Rhodes, Koloff and Murdoch...that's a whole 'nother level.

Ella Waldek vs Nell Stewart

Here are a few pictures of a match between two of the most beautiful females wrestling back in the day, Ella Waldek and Nell Stewart.
I mean seriously...both these ladies could have been movie stars but they wound up as wrestlers.
I guess the beautiful WWE Divas of today really did have predecessors...

Here are some pictures of female pro wrestlers, K.C. Houston and Monster Ripper.

Monster Ripper (Rhonda Sing) was also known as Beef and Bertha Faye.
She wrestled for All Japan Women (AJW), Stampede Wrestling, World Wrestling Council (WWC), the WWF/WWE and WCW.
Rhonda passed away from a heart attack in 2001 at the age of 40.

Toni Rose vs Judy Grable - Female Professional Wrestling

Last time I posted some pictures of classic female pro wrestlers in action.
One of the pictures that I posted was from a match between Toni Rose and Judy Grable.
People seemed to like that pic so much that I decided to post more from that match.

Five foot five Toni Rose was trained by the The Fabulous Moolah, and during her career held the NWA Women's World Tag Team Championship four times
Twice with The Fabulous Moolah and twice with her longtime tag team partner Donna Christanello.
Toni also held the Georgia version of the NWA Southern Women's Championship.

Judy Grable aka "The Barefoot Contessa" was also trained by The Fabulous Moolah at her training school in Columbia, South Carolina.
During her career she also held the NWA Southern Women's Championship, but she held it twice.

Jessie McKay and Tenille (WWE's Billie Kay and Emma)

Here is a picture of Australian professional wrestlers Jessie McKay and Tenille a few years back.
Now you might know them better as WWE NXT Diva Billie Kay and WWE Diva Emma.
The two have a long history together.
Back in 2008, Jessie defended her Pro Wrestling Women's Alliance Championship title against Tenille in Australia.
They met again later in Shimmer Women Athletes when Jessie teamed with Tenille.

Brandi Alexander - Classic Womens Pro Wrestling

Brandi Alexander was always one of my favorite Indy female wrestlers.
She was born on March 1st, 1974 in Fayetteville, West Virginia and was trained at "The Monster Factory" by "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe and Glenn Ruth (aka Thrasher, one half of the tag team The Headbangers).
Brandi made her pro wrestling debut in 1993.
She has worked for a ton of wrestling promotions here in the US and Canada like Appalachian Pro Wrestling, Canadian Wrestling Alliance, Carolina Wrestling Federation, Frontier Wrestling Alliance, Ladies All-Pro Wrestling the World Wide Wrestling Alliance and World Championship Wrestling (WCW).
This five foot seven, 130 pound beauty had feuds with some of the best including Lexie Fyfe, Malia Hosaka, Molly Holly, Leilani Kai and Sherri Martel.
Besides wrestling, she is also trained in Kickboxing.
