Of course back in the day you had lots of them that I can remember.
Ann Casey, Vicki Williams, Judy Grable, Velvet MacIntyre, Miss Mona (Molly Holly when she was in the WCW), even Jungle Grrl from GLOW.
But these days that seems to be a thing of the past.
I guess maybe it has to do with safety concerns, but Ann and Vicki seemed to do alright for themselves.

Love the pics. Barefoot really seems to suit some wrestlers
When a gal wrestled barefooted, often her opponent put a big bite on her feet just to try to slow her down. At times, the biter would spit out the dirt. At other times, she would just swallow as if nothing happened. Kinda funny when you think about it. But if UFC gals can wrestle barefooted, why don't pro wrestling gals do it like they did in the old days?
GREAT photos. Mixed martial arts practitioners always fight/wrestle barefooted. Seems to me it keeps the fighters better grounded and allows for more flexibility and strength. If anything, more lady wrestlers should be doing this today.
