Wanna go way back in female wrestling's past?
Well here is former WWE Diva Lita aka Amy Dumas when she was Miss Congeniality (and later Angelica) back in the ECW.
Okay it seems like a long time ago to me...but you know it was 1999...that was only 13 years ago, so Amy must have been about 24 in this pic.
She looks younger.
Of course when Amy joined ECW, she had already been working for wrestling promotions like Empresa Mexicana de la Lucha Libre in Mexico, Maryland Championship Wrestling (MCW) and NWA Mid-Atlantic.

Before Daffney There Was Luna Vachon...
In the last post I was talking about how I loved the psycho female wrestlers and I mentioned Daffney as being the first.
But before Daffney debuted in 1999, the late Gertrude Elizabeth "Trudy" Vachon was being crazy before crazy was cool as Luna Vachon.
www.wwe.com
A member of the legendary French-Canadian wrestling family, the Vachons, Gertrude wanted to wrestle.
Her whole family (and her godfather Andre The Giant) tried to convince her not too but she wouldn't take no for an answer.
Finally they gave in and her aunt Vivian and later The Fabulous Moolah trained her.
She started out in Florida Championship Wrestling, as part of Kevin Sullivan's Army of Darkness stable teaming up with The Lock as the Daughters of Darkness.
Luna then went on to work for the WWF, ECW, the Indy Circuit and WCW.
Luna passed away on August 27, 2010 from an "accidental overdose of oxycodone and benzodiazepine".

Daffney - The Original Psycho?
Everyone knows how much I loved the "crazy" Victoria in the WWE.
But before we had the "crazy as a bit coon" Victoria, way back in the WCW we had Daffney, she of the ear-piercing scream (long before Melina's "Primal Scream").
Daffney made her debut in 1999 and was inspired partly by Natural Born Killers' Mallory (Juliette Lewis) and Batman: The Animated Series' Harley Quinn.
She held a few titles during her career, the Anarchy Championship Wrestling American Joshi Championship, the NWA Wrestle Birmingham Junior Heavyweight Championship and most notably, the WCW Cruiserweight Championship.
Of course later we had Victoria and looking at this picture, I think "Your Soul's Tormentor" MsChif owes more than a little to Daffney's look.
Actually, Daffney managed MsChif in Shimmer Women Athletes back in 2007.
