Professional Girl Wrestling Association - PGWA

I have mentioned a lot of female wrestling promotions here like Shimmer Women Athletes, Magnificent Ladies Wrestling (MLW, formerly Memphis Ladies Wrestling) and more.
Why I haven't mentioned a promotion that's based in my old home state is beyond me.

Professional Girl Wrestling Association (PGWA), like MLW, is a wrestling promotion created to promote "Old School " wrestling.
It was created in 1992 by sportswriter Randy Powell, and until her passing, the legendary Penny Banner was the Commissioner of the PGWA.
After Penny's passing, another womens wrestling legend Sue Green became the new commissioner.

PGWA is based in Wilkesboro, NC, but they sponsor matches in other Mid-Atlantic and Mid-South states, and matches in Mexico and the UK.
In 2004, PGWA and All Pro Wrestling co-promoted the first ChickFight tournament that went on to become an annual event.

The current PGWA Champion, Tracy Taylor

The past holders of the PGWA Championship reads like a "Who's Who" of female wrestling...
Susan Green (x2), Judy Martin, Angel "Riptide" Orsini, Lexie Fyfe, Brandi Alexander, Leilani Kai, Pippa L'Vinn, Nikki Roxx and the current champion, Tracy Taylor.

There are lots of places online you can find out more about PGWA like....
